Captain D's — Restaurant in Leeds

I love captain d's but the leeds location isn't very impressive. Waited in line inside for about 10 min to place our order even tho there were only 2 people ahead of us. After ordering we found a table and an employee brought out meals and asked if we needed condiments which we did so she went to get some and I noticed she didn't bring utensils or give us our cups for our drinks so I went to ask for cups and the girl looked at me like I was ignorant and said she was about to bring them as she handed me 3 cups of sweet tea. Mind you, we never told her what kind of drink we wanted because it's a self-service soda dispenser in the lobby. I didn't mind drinking sweet tea so I just took the cups she gave me and went back to my table. The tea was VERY sweet so much so I couldn't even drink it. I had the 2 piece fish with green beans and french fries. Fish was good but the green beans were extremely salty and greasy. I only ate a few bites of them before I was nauseous. This is the closest Captain D's to me. So far I have had fair service and food. Sunday I used the drive through. Spicy fish and shrimp with fries also available in original batter for $5.99 was on the top of the drive through menu. I ordered this in original batter. When I drove up to window the I handed my debt card to the cashier then she said Spicy fish. I said no. I order original batter batter she looked confused. And said that item was in Spicy only. I said if you can't do original batter to just give me my card back. Instead she shut the window and turned the someone else. The other person female in a blue shirt said that item only came in Spicy fish I again said that the menu listed available in original and if they couldn't fill the order to give me my card back. She then said that corporate and management wouldn't let them make this item in original batter and handed me my card back. I then went to Arby's and had fast good service. Ordered fish and shrimp plate, with cole slaw and fries, via drivethrough. While fish and fries were hot, the shrimp was overcooked to the point it was almost impossible to eat. Hush puppies were extremely dense and tasted as though they werent cooked all the way through so needless to say i didnt eat them. When i asked for a large tartar and cocktail sauce, Leslie stated "we dont have those". When asked why this location didnt and others i stop at do, her reply was simply " i dont know". By the way, that was the only words uttered by her while i was at the window. Based on this experience, it would seem both drive through cashier and cooks need additional training, especially in customer service. Guess i will continue visiting the Trussville location...
