Subway — Restaurant in Leesburg

PLEASE READ IF ARE THINKING OF APPLYING HERE OR ANY OTHER WORTHINGTON GROUP SUBWAYS!!! Very Dishonest corporation!!!!** I love their sandwiches so much I came in every day for a week. I noticed they had a now hiring sign and I desperately wanted to make more money and I also had previous managing experience so I asked if they were also looking for assistant managers? They said they only had the General Manager and one other assistant manager so they desperately needed another one. I said I could start immediately, full availability for the assistant manager position and I also let them know my previous experience. The GM was so excited gave me an application and I filed it out and brought it back to an interview. At the interview they even said I would be making $10 an hour for the first two weeks of training at leesburg and when I come back to Lady Lake I would be making 11 an hour.My entire interview was questions about how to handle employees not doing what they are supposed to or customer complaints (all assistant manager related questions). They even said at the end you have the job and I asked for the assistant managing position right? They said yes (I asked because I knew they were desperate for sandwich artists).I came in for my orientation at corporate, took a two hour class, gave up a shift of work at my other job (keep in mind I was about to quit since I got the assistant manager job). At the end we was setting up my payroll stuff online AND THEY TOLD ME TO ENTER SANDWICH ARTIST AND MY PAY WOULD BE 8.50 AN HOUR!!! I was livid and I told her I was not taking it the only reason I thought of leaving my current job was for more money. I made $9 an hour and full time at the other job. I left and went to the store and I told them about what happened. THEIR RESPONSE WAS WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THINKING YOU CAN COME IN HERE AND BECOME ASSISTANT MANAGER WITHOUT WORKING YOUR WAY UP!!! They informed they didnt tell me that because they thought it was common sense. I almost left my full time job that I made more money at because they are deceiving!! This location closes the lobby at 10 but says the drive thru is open until 10:30. I show up with my date at 9:55. Lobby door is locked. No biggie it’s almost drive thru only time, I completely understand. I waste my time ordering my food and my dates food in the drive thru touch screen only to pull up to the window and have the worker say “hey man I’ve already put everything away, I’ve put all the food up” and when I said “it’s only 10:05 you guys close at 10:30pm” he says “yeah we close at 10:30 that means I’m clocked out at 10:30 so I get everything done before close. I mean like, I guess I can bring the food back out but I’ve already put everything away man”. I feel sympathy for fast food workers and I know cleaning restaurants isn’t fun so I didn’t make him bring the food back out but I did express my disappointment that the sign says open until 10:30 and I show up 30 mins before close and have to deal with this. If I pulled up at 10:25 I’d understand and not make a deal out of it. But 30 mins before close??? Definitely not cool. Went in to eat, 1 other couple in the dining room eating, no one else in line or in the drive thru. I ordered my sandwich and the girl gets the meat and 1/2 the cheese on it and the tone for an online order goes off and she sits my sandwich aside and walks away to get the order then grabs a bag and a Gatorade to sit on the counter. I ask her what about my sandwich and she snaps at me that she was there by herself, not my problem! She continues to make the sandwich for the online order as I stand there with my sandwich just sitting there! She was very rude when I said I wanted my sandwich finished because there was no online else inline in the store or in the drive thru. I told her that if my business wasn't wanted I could go somewhere else and she picked up the the sandwich and walked to the garbage can and said "Do you want the sandwich or not?"
