Post-pandamic update on ordering for pickup and it's not good. Restaurant staff are friendly and food is up to IHOP standards. I was very frustrated with ordering online for pickup. I placed my order and the website wouldn't let me scroll to deselect "store payment information". Then, when I clicked on the link in the text message sent me to let them know I was on the way ,it then tried to make me download the IHOP app - while I'm driving to pick up my order! When I declined the download, it tried to push me onto a website that wanted permission to track my phone location. I declined that as well. When I arrived at the restaurant 3 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready, and parked in one of the curbside spots, there was a number I could text to let them know I was there. I texted. Then I waited 5 minutes. No response, so I texted again and waited another 4 minutes without any response. I finally called the restaurant and they immediately sent a friendly staff person out with my order. I could tell from the temperature of my meal when I got home that it had been ready for a while. I won't be dining at IHOP or ordering from them again until after the pandemic is over. Update: I won't be ordering for pickup for the foreseeable future. Tried to order online and, after going through the order, payment information, etc., it tried to force me sign up for an account. I finally gave in and tried to set up an account, but it was very unfriendly, requested information that was unnecessary, and kept rejecting the passwords I tried to set up, even though they conformed to the stated requirements. I finally gave up and called my order in on the phone. Bur when I arrived, it took ten minutes for them to get to me, while my omelet- which I did enjoy- slowly got cold. The staff person was helpful and friendly and wasn't being pokey, but they obviously still don't have a good system to process to go orders. I have no plans to ever order pickup...
Read moreDear God where do I start... First we ordered and we didn't get our food for like half an hour which is very unusual.. I ordered Chicken and Pancakes which comes with 4 chicken strips and 3 pancakes.. the pancakes were DRY and had sprinkles on them somehow? They also gave me a teaspoon of butter and never brought the extra butter requested. Also the "4 chicken strips"... They used one of their chicken sandwich patties and cut it into 4 slices..I've order this before and it was actual chicken strips(tenders). I ordered mozzarella sticks and they were cold and hard and tasted like soap? My partner ordered the plant based sausage protein combo thing..she wanted to replace the protein pancakes with strawberries and creme crepes but the server didn't understand what she was saying so she asked for strawberry banana protein pancakes. She confirmed her order with him 3 or 4 times. He came back with everything right except he brought out regular pancakes with some blueberry sauce on top...she sends it back and we confirm the order 2 more times. He comes back with blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes.. so he reconfirms again then 10 minutes later someone else comes and asks and then we wait another 10 minutes. Then another server comes over and asks if everything is okay and we told her what we've been waiting on. She goes back and is basically asking them what's going on and yelling loud! The guy finally came back with my butter and 10 more minutes later came back with the strawberry banana pancakes..but they weren't protein pancakes AND they are raw... We didn't send them back but we asked for her meal to be comped.. it wasn't Meanwhile the table behind us ordered Chicken and waffles, had the same issue with the chicken. 1 girl ordered 2 scoops of ice cream and received 2 scoops of sour cream. And when someone corrected him he brought back what was barely 1 scoop of ice cream in a butter cup. I don't know what's going on tonight but this...
Read moreMy recent visit to IHOP in Leesburg left much to be desired, particularly the service provided. I have been to plenty of IHOPS however, this so far has been the worst.
Throughout the meal, the service was slow and inattentive. It took a while for our server Dennis to take our order. To make matters worse, when the food did arrive, it was cold and the fries were undercooked. It was evident that little care had been taken in preparing our meal. Our waiter seemed annoyed at us and rolled his eyes almost as if he did not want to serve us not sure if that’s the reason why he never came to give us refills.
Once we were done eating Dennis, never came back to give us our check. We waited over 30 minutes until we finally had enough and told the manager. He told us he would get our waiter after patiently waiting Dennis never came instead we had to go to the front and check out there.
Overall, my experience at IHOP was far from satisfactory, primarily due to the disappointing level of service provided. From the disinterested and inattentive server, it was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. If you're seeking a pleasant dining experience accompanied by attentive service, I would recommend...
