Waking from a night of tequila fueled craze, head spinning, and stomach desperate for any sort of caloric intake to absorb the previous nights festivities. Stumbling into my kitchen as I prepare my morning coffee, long time friend and roommate enters the room. "Hey man sounds like you all had fun last night! I'm sure you're hungover, remember it's Moe's Monday!" "You're right!" I exclaim. Memories of high school begin flooding my head. The great experiences that we all had driving around in the Oldsmobile after class. Scrounging up some change to hit up Moe's, to attain the irresistible fix that is a Joey Bag of Donuts. So here I am, with the love of my life many years later. Greeted with the sound of a bleek and defeated "welcome to moes". I too understand the pain of corporate infrastructure and the eventual entropy we all face. As I stand in line, still hopeful, I notice just like me everything is falling apsrt. The booths all ripped and shoddily patched. The leak from the ceiling filling a bucket and the families filling the nearby tables. The sauce bar gone astray and clearly unwiped for many a day. "I'll have a Joey with chicken please" I cry out in desperation. A ripped tortilla thrown onto the warmer and day old dried chicken hastily tossed on. Remnants of teen angst in line behind me, sharing an order of queso together. As I sit down, unsure of the price that was paid, and the hours of my time that went into this purchase. I notice my dry and lifeless burrito and wonder was it nostalgia, or have you too Moe, have you also withered as I have. I can't help but feel a connection and a deep understanding. I leave, never to return for as I have put the past behind me. Moes I hope you too learn from your experiences. Is it time for you to be laid to rest, or do you yet have life in you? Here I am in my home town heading to my home, my love beside me. Sad that she too couldn't experience the joy I so fondly remember. She pats my back, "I'm sorry hunny,...
Read moreI was in the Leesburg Moe's today and was treated very rudely by one of the employees (I believe she was the Manager) --- I have been going to this Moe's for years (as it is close to my employment) and have never been treated so rudely. All I asked for was fresh guacamole for my Homewrecker Burrito and Wrong Doug stack. The Manager threw the spoon down and removed the container and got another one and served a small spoon in my stack but just a little in my burrito --- Once seated I reviewed my receipt and was speaking to another employee for an explanation and she came over interrupted us and told me I was charged for extra guacamole because I got the guacamole in my stack (she practically screamed this at me). I was very embarrassed and really couldn't believe I was treated so rudely. For the next 15 minutes (as I ate my food) this Manager continued to stare at me and never once smiled or apologized. I go to Moes about 5 or 6 times a month (every month) and typically go with 2-3 coworkers. We will not be going anymore. Very disappointed --- On another note, the Moes in Gainesville, VA is quite the opposite --- Great service and very...
Read moreThis is not the first time I get bad service and treated very rudely at Moes in Leesburg. This time I decided to write a review and never go back to this place.
The lady serving food is not friendly and very rude. First, there's a language barrier I don't think she understand English at all. We were three of us, she kept rushing all of us before we even finished ordering so she can get to the next customer and rush through them as well.
When we asked for our plates/bowls to be finished the way we wanted them, she rolled her eyes in a unpleasant rude manner and flung the food literally throwing the food in the plates and bowls. That slows hatred, impatience and disrespect with attitude. She clearly does not want to be waiting on customers and work there period. After serving everybody, she goes near the cash register and start eating and chewing her food in front on customers, care free.
Then comes the other lady that packs the chips, without gloves, she puts the chips in the plates with bare hands. Same way and attitude, unpleasant and rude.
The sauces look old with dirty filthy counters!! I will not recommend to anyone...
