Yesterday July 3rd myself, my husband, and our son had dinner around 630ish and when we arrived we were greeted by a sweet young lady. After we were sat wasn't long before our waitress came over. Our waitress was awesome loved her outgoing personality. It wasn't long after we arrived I noticed that you guys were short-staffed but everybody there was working together and honestly they were knocking through tables left and right. Halfway through our meal there was this older woman and I'm assuming her husband who came in who immediately was very rude to your staff to the point that even I noticed and got upset. Every one of your stuff was being beyond nice to this lady even though she was degrading them belittling them and just continuously talking trash. At one time I overheard her because she was literally sitting right next to us she was on the phone calling corporate before anybody even did anything wrong to this lady she was on the phone. She continued to sit there in her seat trashing your staff and I know that your girls could feel it and I know that they're not allowed to say anything because they can't afford to lose their jobs especially in the world we live in today. So as I was leaving I took it upon myself to let this woman know that she was a rude well I'm not going to put the word that I called her on here but I let her know that her attitude was uncalled for and that they did not deserve to be belittled by her and she was no damn better than anybody else in that place that was dining there or working there. So if yesterday you guys may have gotten gripped at by an older woman who was very rude to your staff I just want you to know that your staff did nothing wrong to this woman I was there for the entire time and I know that she was just looking for a way to get these girls in trouble but they handled theirselves very professional and they continued to be nice to this woman even when she did not deserve it. I wanted to let management know that if you had some complaint by some older woman who is a huge Karen and thinks that she's entitled to God knows what please know that your staff handled their self very well and I stuck up for them because they're not allowed to say anything but I can I don't work there so I told that woman about herself. I don't know if this lady reached out to management that was on the clock at that time but if she did please know that your staff was being harassed and belittled by this woman and I hope that nobody got in trouble because I never once seen them react to her they continued to be beyond nice to this woman and that woman did not even deserve that.... But I know that they have to keep their composure while they're at work but there is people like me who will stand up for these people when they can't say anything and I just wanted to let you guys know that your staff is awesome and I hope that this lady did not get anyone...
Read more01/14/23 Customer satisfaction and comfort does not seem to be a priority. Welcoming customers when entering and thanking them for choosing their business is gone. We usually dine at the Leesburg Outback on Saturdays, and each time we have come, we have been asked to wait, but today was the worst. We arrived at 2:15 pm and were told by 2 front of house staff that the wait time would be 20 minutes even though there were only about 10 tables with diners. The rest of the restaurant was empty. We were told we could sit at the bar but not in any of the booths. After 8 customers chose to sit at the bar, they closed that too. We decided to wait for a booth. We waited a ½ an hour for our booth, as did 20 to 30 more people. When asked why so many tables were empty, customers were told the restaurant only had 3 servers, yet they had 3, and at times, 4 front of house staff telling customers there was a 30 to 40 minute wait. At one point, 4 staff members were at the front of the house, but no one was being seated. They were preoccupied with an I-pad for seating, yet no one was being seated. It was standing room only for those customers waiting for a table in a restaurant that was only 1/8th full. A few older customers asked if they could wait at a table to be more comfortable, but they were denied. We did not get our booth, we were told we would have to wait an additional 5 minutes for a booth,so we were seated at a table. We ordered and our meal came out all at once, drinks, bread, salad, & prime rib, but with no utensils. We waited a long time for our utensils. We finished our meal and asked for two carrot cakes to go; we waited an additional 20 minutes for our cake. In all, we were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes - most of that time was waiting to be seated, waiting for utensils, and waiting for our to go carrot cake. Maybe the focus should not be on placing the majority of the staff at the front of house, and who are primarily focused on an Ipad, but instead , serve and wait on the customers coming in who want a pleasant dining experience. On a positive note, the Outback has the best prime rib and carrot cake, but the hassle of being seated and being overlooked is becoming...
Read moreWhen you go out to dine, isn’t it wonderful to go where you can count on EVERYTHING going well?! Tonight I felt like I needed to make time to show the respect this restaurant deserved by a proper review. Here we go. From the moment you enter the doors, pleasantly greeted, seated and welcomed again, you already feel like good choice. Since we prefer Anita, we are already knew that the night would go well: knowing what to bring, and right on a perfect cue, each course without rushing or overlapping such that you can actually , enjoy your food. Tonight we “met” Vanessa. (Mgr) It’s no wonder that this location is always smooth sailing. Leadership like hers provides a positive environment that lacks in many other places these days (sadly) She shows gratitude towards her staff and it shows..The busman & food runner cleaned seats as well as table tops. (No dirty tables here). And, clean fabric napkins and clean cutlery!!!! The food was (as always) prepared to our specifications and temperatures spot on. Flavor was there. Anita knew Vanessa, Anita, and the young man would align beautifully in a Midas restaurant. Outback might be a “chain”, however they operate at a much higher frequency.. I do hope that the owners & the regional manager read this. Due to family matters we had started to dine out many times a week and were ready to stop because of all the reasons anyone might guess after reading this documentary . Seriously, what matters besides tasty, well prepared food? (Feeling happy) And, BTW, coming here was a “redo” experience after we recovered from getting sick 2 nights before right next door. Thanks Team...
