Please allow me to say that I travel a lot for work and pleasure; now, with that being said, visiting Ruby Tuesday was top 3 worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant…hands down. While waiting for a server to take our drink orders, behind me, I’m hearing the manager tell another customer how said customer is costing them money because the entrée the lady ordered was already on sale so the lady could not use her coupon to pay for it. Well since the lady couldn’t use her coupon, she didn’t want it. I don’t want to assume, but the pertaining table was occupied by two elderly ladies that one could assume were on a fixed budget and a full price entrée did not fit in their budget. This was the first red flag because I’ve never heard a manager speak to elderly customers in this manner. So, Ruby Tuesday disrespecting their elders, check. I ordered a steak that came out rare; it was ordered medium. I had to explain to he server and manager there is a difference between medium and the seared, rare cut of meat that was before me. The manager asked if I’d like them to remake the steak and I confirmed. I also ordered fried shrimp and was served grilled. While both items were wrong, I only asked for the steak to be redone…but, not getting the order correct, check. Twenty minutes later, I was served a steak that was two levels past well done. So being being punished for asking them to correct their mistake, check. I must also mention that my companion ordered two drinks. This will come into play later. When the check arrived, there were multiple discounts (I mean a lot) at the bottom, so I didn’t really pay attention to the details…until the next night when I was going through my receipts. Ruby Tuesday’s had charged me for both the rare and over cooked steaks and my companion for three drinks. Being dishonest and charging for both their mistakes and items not received, check. I went over to the restaurant and spoke with the manager (it was a different manager than the night before). He said Ruby Tuesday would issue a credit to my card for the steak; this never happened. With that being said, I would avoid this Ruby Tuesday at all costs; however, if you have no other option, it is strongly recommended that when they bring that machine over to take your card that you review every line of...
Read moreI lived in Florida for close to 30 years, and have been traveling for the last year. Both my parents passed away within a week and it's been difficult. I have been enjoying meals and cocktails at Ruby Tuesdays since the 80s when I was going to college in Williamsburg Virginia. I recently had a bad experience at Ruby Tuesday and was so upset I contacted a district manager. After explaining my bad experience, he sincerely encouraged me to try the restaurant again. I ended up at the Ruby Tuesday on 441 in Leesburg Florida. It would've been my father's 89th birthday and I wanted to celebrate his life. So a bad experience would have been extremely disheartening for me . I was met at the hostess station by a young man named Fabio. Let me just say that his smile can light up a room. The young lady also at the hostess area was very kind and smiling. I had Lauren as my server, and was told that it was very busy and she had several tables. They apologized and I said that was no problem. Lauren spoke with me, recommended items and listen to every story I had to tell about my parents and my life traveling in the last year. My delicious and hot meal came out very quickly. I already knew I was going to request a manager to complement her, but Jessica, the manager was kindly walking through the dining area asking if anyone needed any anything and if they were enjoying their meals. I spoke with Jessica for a bit who also had the loveliest personality and the most genuine smile. I did not encounter an employee that wasn't smiling. The Leesburg Ruby Tuesday has completely restored my faith in this restaurant and the Entire wonderful experience made for a fantastic day. Also, the restaurant was neat and clean as were the bathrooms. Something which is very very important to me when dining out. I just can't tell you how pleased I was with this...
Read moreThe restaurant was quiet, but with a combination of music that's too loud, being seated right next to other tables, and servers yelling across the restaurant at each other, it's hard to even have a conversation with the people you came to eat with.
The food is wildly overpriced for the portion size, our silverware was dirty, and the food was either under or overspiced. I read some reviews before coming here, and they weren't lying about it being somewhat musty/humid and a bit dirty.
Our waitress Meredith was perfectly pleasant and helpful, but very sparse in coming back to the table despite not many other tables being assigned to her.
I don't recommend getting the chicken parm here, as you could tell it had been sitting for a while before being served. My partner noticed some parts of the chicken looked raw, and there was not nearly enough sauce. I got the platter with ribs, the 6oz ribeye, and the shrimp, and the steak was well cooked but overspiced. The ribs were perfect, and the shrimp left a little to be desired. I would come here just for the ribs, if anything, but other places nearby have done it better, and likely for less. My meal ended up being over $40 with tip with just the platter and a drink, and my partner's was about $25 with tip.
I have a feeling that the reviews here are botted, as many of the recent 5 star reviews have come in 5-10+ per day with very little details. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere - for a few dollars more per person you could get an exceptional meal at Outback next door with bigger portion sizes. The waitresses are the only decent part of this...
