Greetings,
Sunday after church we enjoyed lunch at the Subway Store #11290. I take time to write today because it’s not very often I receive such excellent service at a quick food chain. Two gals were working and handling the lunch rush beautifully. Before I left I asked their names; Ronnie & Star.
Ronnie seemed to be the leader on shift as she was coaching Star. First, their camaraderie and cooperative spirit was fun to watch. Secondly, Ronnie handled several things really well for us. She was super cheerful and had excellent people skills (eye contact, speaking back our orders, and treating our goofy pre-teens as if they were the most important client all day).
When one of the boys accidentally leaned on the glass and it closed, instead of the typical response you’d get from an employee, she showed him how it worked and made light of his embarrassment by telling him of a grown man who had made the same error. She had him laughing and back to enjoying his sandwich order quickly.
The other mom with us was juggling one too many beverages to the table and dropped one. She was mortified and asked for a load of napkins to clean it up. Ronnie again was super gracious and invited her to sit down and enjoy her lunch while she (Ronnie) took care of it. Again, not my usual experience.
As a client trainer myself, I can spot when someone is ‘acting’ or is genuinely being their best self to give a great guest experience. Ronnie & Star were enjoying themselves and created a terrific environment for the us and several families that I witnessed while we were there for about 90 minutes. So please give KUDOS to Ronnie and Star and also to whoever your hiring manager is at that store. When you see a diamond, someone with authentic people skills, they always make...
Read moreWent to pickup a Footlong sub that my stepdaughter had ordered for 1:15 pm pickup. She ordered it at 12:45. Arrived at 1:17 pm, and they hadn't started making it yet. A young female employee was eating, and told me that the male employee was too busy to have made it. She was just making up excuses for him. He yelled out "Jesus what do you want!!" Want? I wanted the sub to be ready. The gal who I believe was off the clock got up, and made the sub while the male employee was taking his time making 2 subs for a walk in customer. The male employee hadn't even printed off the order yet and it was now 1:20 pm. The female employee completed making the sub at 1:28 pm. The male employee by the way had hair hanging in his face down to about his chin and kept throwing his head back to get the hair out of his eyes. I can't believe they let him work with no hat, and hair hanging in his face like that! That Franchisee, and Manager Should pay better attention to their employees! My family has ordered from that Subway many times, but Never Again! You have lost customer's for Life! It's Sunday, 9/14, so government offices are closed today. But? Tomorrow I will contact the Florida Department of Health. I can't imagine how many people who might have hair in their subs. Or worse. The employee had uncombed long hanging hair, and a beard and mustache that was wild and could have hairs in someone's food ! He has no clue and doesn't care! Very poor regards to customer service! 😢 Don't use this Subway! It's not the first time we had bad service there, but...
Read moreWent to this store for a quick sandwich for dinner. Not sure why, as we know this location is never quick. They advertised fresh sliced meats as in the tv commercials. Machine was on the counter next to the toaster but was never used during our visit. Had 2 employees which in itself was surprising as there has never been more than one employee ever on duty for dinner rush. They had 2 customers in the store when we arrived. After they left we were never greeted and the staff started making call in orders. 15 minutes later one employee went out front and made himself a drink and the other asked us for our order.
First my wife asked for meatballs and was told they were out. The breads were stale and the toppings were aged if they were there. Cheeses stuck together and curled. No green peppers , pickles were pale. The “sandwich artist “ was far from and did not know how to use a knife or properly wrap the sandwich.
Will be awhile before I consider giving this location...
