I saw this place on Instagram and my friend and I checked it out one Sunday to try their teas. Parking isn’t difficult. There’s a huge parking garage so it’s very convenient. Their signage isn’t that noticeable compared to the other establishments beside them, so you can get easily confused when you’re new to the area. The place is clean and well lighted. I like the presentation aspect of the place where you can see the staff actually preparing your drink, whisking your matcha, steeping and pouring your tea. Though, the layout is a bit confusing because you got the counter where you order on one end, then you got the counter where you see the tea making and then you go to the far end of the counter to pick up your drink and food. Wouldn’t it be more convenient to just hand your drink to you directly over the counter after it’s done as well as the pastry you bought instead of having customers walk all the way to the pick up spot? The pick up station gets crowded easily and it’s not really spacious since there are chairs and tables along that space as well. If you’re sitting by the table by pick up spot, prepare to get accidentally bumped into or crowded on. People walking to and fro, picking up their orders and walking to their table and people going to the bathroom, it was a bit chaotic. Anyway, that’s just my observation and experience on a crowded Sunday. I ordered hot matcha latte and my friend got a cold brew strawberry oolong. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the teas. They offer dairy and non dairy alternatives for your drink order. I like that they don’t sweeten the matcha to the point you can’t taste the matcha anymore and all you drink is sugar. As for the taste of the matcha latte, it’s okay. I’ve had better. But the cashier gave me the wrong pastry, she thought I was ordering a mini cake not a muffin. But no apologies were given and no readjustment of the price was done. I don’t know if the muffin and the mini cakes are priced the same though. But imagine a regular-sized muffin for $6.75. My friend told me her cold brew oolong was just okay nothing to write home about. But she was also surprised that her mini tiramisu (smaller than a ramekin) was also $6.75. I’ve observed that some customers were just ordering a pot of tea for themselves or for their group to try, which I think is a wise choice. Will I go back to this place? Yes, I want to try their other tea offerings. My suggestion, go for the tea. Don’t order any pastry, it’s...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem that cannot be overlooked. They serve really good teas and really good conversation and it was so interesting and nice to finding and hearing the staff is from Kentucky as well. We were passing through just got finished. Having some great sushi next door and some Ramen and said we must stop in. So wonderful! So wonderful! You must grab the red dates tea don't hesitate. Don't think about it. Just get it and love it. They have different brands of different teas and it is so good. They only have a few teas from Japan. Everything else is from China but excellent teas. I think I end up walking out of there spending close to $100 but it was well worth it. Of course I got a lot of things. They even got a travel kit because my colleague and I travel a lot. If you ever get a chance stop in staff is really good. Just ask who's from Kentucky and they'll give you that Kentucky Southern charm even though they're not from. From Virginia. The outside area if you don't want to be inside is just as good but getting it hot and fresh at the right temperature is right there. They even have a great website to check out and a really good loyalty program to try if you love teas. This is a place you want to try out. If you ever want to try different teas. This is a place you want to try out. Tell your friends to tell your neighbors and scream it from the mountaintop. This place is one not to be overlooked but to be embraced and enjoy. And again, thank you to the two hostess they...
Read moreThe Tea House in Leesburg is an absolute gem. Their tea is phenomenal—every time I visit, I’m impressed by the quality and variety. The lime mandarin tea, especially when served cold, is hands-down the most refreshing drink on a hot day. It’s become my go-to.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the owner. She’s incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about tea. Her warmth extends to her entire staff—they’re always friendly, attentive, and helpful. You can tell this is a place built on love and community.
One of my favorite things is the tea membership program. The deals you get are amazing, and it makes coming back even more rewarding. Plus, the owner often gives out free samples, even without being asked—just one more example of how generous and thoughtful she is.
The shop itself is clean, cozy, and inviting. It’s a perfect spot to relax with a cup of something special. They even offer dog treats, which my pup appreciates—though I do wish they had whipped cream for him (just a personal preference, not a deal-breaker!).
All in all, The Tea House is a wonderful spot with great tea, great people, and great vibes. I wish them nothing but...
