It is rare to find so many delicious food finds on a single street in a quaint little old town and much less offered in establishments next to each other. SideBar deserves to be your first stop and fill up on cocktails and small bites before you venturing to your full service, higher-end, dinner or lunch. The most surprising gem of the dish is the "Cinnamon Apple Fries". It might be fritters or some apple flavor or sauce mixed with starch and formed into shape of fries. Oh no, delectable morsel is fried green apple and shockingly original. Can't find any other dessert like this for miles and most certainly more healthy than the vein-thickening fried onion blossom. Paired with your favorite cocktail made well really lets the happiness set in. Then Sidebar's happy hour prices will just add to your happiness after you've stuffed your cocktail drenched cheeks with real fried apples.

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch in mid-March. I was traveling and have been to Leesburg before and figured it would be a good place to find lunch. They seemed to be busy. The host offered me a seat at the bar since I was a party of one. There was only one other person at the bar. The bartender greeted me quickly and took my order. I ordered a southwestern chicken salad and that came out quickly as well. It was good. It had a bit more of the tortilla chips than I would have liked but it was fine. I only had water to drink but they had a good selection of liquor and beer. The bartender was attentive. Prices were comparable to other places I have been in town. The atmosphere was casual but busy. I couldn’t see the dining area but I certainly could hear it. I would maybe come back again if I’m the area.

I had been wanting to try Side bar for awhile now so my husband and I decided to go for Valentine's Day. We were initially going to order from their normal menu until we saw the amazing Valentine's Day Pre-Fix menu they were having. Making a reservation with the host was easy. I absolutely adored the atmosphere. It took about 15 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. It took about 20 minutes for each course to arrive. We were blow away by how delocious each course was. We arrived at 4:30 and left around 6. The prefix menu was an incredible deal. $100-per couple. It included 2 craft cocktails, 2 entrées, 1 appetizer, & 1 Dessert. All in all it was a great night with delicious food. We will definitely be back to try out their regular menu. The chef really knows what he's doing!
