As an artist, you learn to cherish the rare venues that truly understand what it takes to make a show feel special—not just for the audience, but for the performers as well. Tally Ho Theater is one of those places. Thanks for hosting Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute for two days!
From the moment we stepped in, it was clear we were in good hands. Dave, the legendary venue manager, runs a tight yet welcoming ship, making sure everything flows seamlessly. Joe was an absolute pro on sound, ensuring every note, every lyric, and every moment landed exactly as it should. John and Daphne were equally fantastic, making sure everything behind the scenes was handled with care and precision.
Chuck, Jim, and their security team! One of the best we’ve encountered across the country. They kept things smooth, professional, and—most importantly—felt like part of the team rather than just enforcing the rules. We were in great hands.
Beyond the people, the space itself is a dream: the cleanliness, the atmosphere, and that impeccable sound make Tally Ho stand out among the best venues we've performed at across the United States. And let’s not forget the empanadas? Absolutely top-tier.
Tally Ho isn’t just a venue; it’s a place where artists can truly shine. We can’t...
Read moreNice venue - Horrible customer service.
Stopped by day before concert to buy advanced tickets (as advertised on website and Facebook). Box office was unexpectedly closed - I learned today that an employee went home sick (they told me the reason for the closure when I stopped by a second time today; hours before the venue opens) I was hoping I could still get the tickets I traveled to get yesterday ad the advanced purchase price. Despite my earlier trip to their box office they would not offer advance price on the tickets and insisted I would have to pay the door price -- as if there was nothing they could do.
Okay! That is your prerogative, but what a stupid decision and an example of bad customer service! For a mere $10 they created a frustrated customer (that has now made 2 trips to their box office in advance of the show) that came away empty handed twice.
To add to the overall frustration, they told me I could come back later (at the higher price) because they still had plenty of tickets available! Hey, Tally Ho -- keep using this level of customer service and available tickets will become the norm. You're out 2 sales tonight (now you're empty handed) and as a bonus you essentially bought this crappy but true review...
Read moreUpdate 4/2/25: Had to drop the rating one star. Recent shows there have not sounded great, not sure what has happened. Very muddled and bass heavy which is not good when they are guitar oriented bands and the guitar is barely audible. Love this venue! They get a great mix of tribute bands and a decent number of national acts as well. The best thing about the place is the sound system. They have absolutely nailed the sound the majority of the shows I've seen here. The 2024 Living Colour show immediately comes to mind, such a great job on the sound mix! In 20+ shows I've seen here to date only one had bad sound, Geoff Tate. I asked about that one and turns out the band had its own sound people on the boards, so that was on them not the venue. Parking is a breeze as there is a public garage right behind the theater. Tribute bands generally are in the $15 to $25 range for general admission tickets. Even for national acts I've not yet noticed anything go past $50 per ticket (KK's Priest with Accept was the most I've seen at $49.50). I've been to a sold out show here and they must have good AC as it did not get overly hot inside. My only quibble is the "pit" area by the stage is slightly sloped, good for sight lines, not so much for...
