While in the area for work, we wanted to get something a little upscale to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and this place definitely did it! The mermaid tower was an assortment of chilled seafood that included king crab legs and a half of lobster that have been perfectly cut in half so it's very easy to eat with out making a mess! Jumbo tail on shrimp, raw middle neck clams and raw oysters on the half shell and a bowl with lump crab meat completed this decadent dinner for two! Everything cames on trays filled with ice to keep it nice and cold so you can take your time to savor every morsel without being rushed. The cocktail sauce has fresh horseradish so you can mix it up how you like it. There is also melted butter or redwine vinegar with finely diced onion for your dipping pleasure! We also ordered Moscow Mules and they make the ginger beer in house and it was amazing! This is not a big place and it was packed but they had a great wait staff that kept everyone in the place well supplied with full glasses and food that looked amazing as it passed us by. Set in a historic building means you have to park on the street or in one of the parking lots near by. Inside the restaurant it is nicely decorated with a nautical theme that has a contemporary vibe. We will be back to eat here again!

TLDR: Tasty small plates, however the cocktail program misses the mark. Come for the happy hour specials (apps and beer/wine only). Vibe: 3/5. Located in the heart of downtown Leesburg, King Street is a relatively small restaurant. Seating is composed mostly of 2 tops and counter seating that are tightly packed into the restaurant's layout. During our visit, we sat at the counter seats in the large display glass window looking out to the street. Unfortunately, this seating area was extremely tight, with only a small wood counter to eat off of. Nonetheless, we made the best out of the situation and used vacant barstools as food/drink rests. If visiting, highly recommend sitting elsewhere. Service: 4/5. Even with us seated at the way front away from the main dining area, the servers at King Street Oyster never forgot about us. Our drink and food orders were taken promptly as well as busing our tiny dining area between dishes. When it was time to settle up on the bill, we did not have a problem flagging a staff member down to complete the transaction. Food/drink: 3/5. We decided to come during their weekend happy hour to take advantage of their extensive small plate menu and cocktails. The small plates were great, however the same cannot be said about the cocktails. On the food front, we ordered the tuna tacos, 1/2 dozen raw oysters, crab cake sliders, pastrami sliders and the ceviche. All the small plates came out perfectly cooked and overall were all tasty in their own regards. Shout-out to the ceviche and pastrami sliders as being the best of the bunch. The cocktail that rubbed me the wrong way was their special cocktail for the evening, a riff on the whiskey sour. This version had all the makings of a traditional sour, but with the addition of red wine at the end. The cocktail was extremely unbalanced, with the sourness overpowering the drink. This lends me to believe that sour mix was used vs. fresh lemon juice. The wine really didn't add or detract from the experience as it was completely overshadowed by the tartness. No egg white was used to froth, which could have been a saving ingredient to bring much needed creaminess to the drink. The beer and wine list was fine, with both local and domestic craft options available. Overall, the food was absolutely passable, but definitely pass on the cocktails and stick to the beer/wine list if visiting.

You know, I pray that one day we can go to restaurants and get adequate service. Tonight my fiancé and I decided to go to this establishment while we are visiting. Upon entering the hostess was so friendly. She sat us in Josh’s section. We ordered and everything was all good until it wasn’t. I ordered the lobster roll and didn’t realize it was just one mini roll with just lobster meat and bread. ( 👎🏾) My fiancé ordered a po boy which was on the same type of bread as the lobster roll so it was tiny as well. Our problem isn’t even with the food though. Our problem is our waiter failed to check on us but checked on everyone else consistently. My fiancé sat needing a refill our entire entree and dessert. We literally had to ask. We stacked our plates so the waiter could know we were finished with our appetizer and entree and it wasn’t until the hostess came did you come. The hostess brought us our check at the end of the meal and that was the last straw for me. As someone who’s worked in restaurant management a few years I know how judgemental people can be and o most definitely believe Josh made an assumption about us and missed out of my gifting night( once a week I give a server $100 on top of their tip just because) The vibe of the restaurant was cool, but the food was simply Ok and my waiter sucked.

I was very pleased with our experience at this restaurant, not only were we able to be seated 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time but the food and drinks came out in a very timely manner. The atmosphere was wonderful and had a very cozy sort of feel, the oysters were fresh and delicious! I highly recommend getting there before happy hour ends as they have an awesome selection of drinks and appetizers, our entrees had just the right amount of food and allowed us room for dessert. The fish we ordered was also fresh and delicious however I do feel a bit more seasoning or salt was needed but other than that it was amazing. Our bill for two came to approximately $97 which included two alcoholic drinks, two appetizers including a half dozen oysters, two entree's and a dessert. This price was far more affordable than even red lobster and very surprising for a seafood restaurant in the given location. I absolutely recommend making a reservation if at all possible.

Friday. Happy Hour. 5pm. Reservations. Party of 4. When we arrived, the place was packed, creating a lively atmosphere. However, the loud music proved to be a hindrance, leading our waiter to get our order wrong twice. To our surprise, he even seemed unfamiliar with a simple drink like a Cape Cod. The food itself was okay, but it arrived in rolling waves, disrupting the flow of our meal. Our waiter was inattentive, leaving our plates empty and stacked up while our glasses remained unfilled. Amidst this disappointing experience, a delightful dessert caught my eye. The seasonal dessert, a strawberry and blueberry shortcake, waltzed by, and its deliciousness elevated the overall meal. Unfortunately, due to the lack of service, we didn’t get a chance to order more drinks. Despite the off night, we’re willing to give this place another try in the future..

We have been meaning to go here for a while, and we were not disappointed at all when we finally went. This small restaurant on King Street in Leesburg serves classic seafood and pub favorites, including a good selection of oysters (obviously). We went on a Saturday afternoon for happy hour, and were delighted to find a nice variety of food and drink on the discounted menu. We tried a couple of cocktails, some wings, the po boy, and the crab cake sliders. The food was delicious. We followed it up with two different types of oysters, which were equally great. We are not big oyster people, so we asked the waitress for a recommendation. She nailed it, and was happy to give us some pro tips regarding the sauces that came with. This turned out to be a lovely dining experience, and a great way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend!
