First review wasn't quite fair. To start things that are good, the people that are around and or working are generally good people I've personally never had a problem with anyone at griffs. The food is pretty good in general tacos burgers and wings. I don't drink so I cant weigh in on selection or prices. Although it isnt that uncommon for them to run out of zimmermans.....which blows my mind alittle bit... but still.
Now everything bad, or bad in my opinion.... To start like the tea they seem to run out of things that just dont seem like should be ran out of ever....like iced tea, wings, taco meat, and one that makes no sense to me personally....beef jerky. Also its typically hot or at least warm and always humid. To be honest if I only went to griffs to hangout and drink or eat I'd maybe go up to 4 stars, but I don't I'm there on a weekly basis to shoot pool. For a couple years multiple times a week most weeks. But all I really have to say about that is a couple years ago we were moving our teams to griffs and well now we're moving from griffs.
Soo, if u just wanna have some drinks or hangout and play pool then sure go to griffs. If u wanna put a pool team in eh...its ur...
Read moreIt was a Tuesday so of course I had tacos! I got 4 and was stuffed after eating them! Though they were made with a tortilla, they toss it in the oil for just a second and the shell ends up slightly crunchy. It was SO good! Would definitely recommend the tacos!
The waiter was super pleasant! Made us laugh a few times! And treated us like we were regulars even though this was our first time there.
It is a bar setting, so can imagine weekends are pretty busy and could get crowded there. We sat in the back where the pool tables were and the lighting is kind of dim. But it's almost to be expected in a bar setting.
I actually like places like this, on non busy days. Gives you a chance to enjoy the rustic feel of being in a quiet place to enjoy your meal. Sometimes bars are the best place to...
Read moreLoved this spot. Me and the wife traveled for a short hiking trip in the Poconos, and wanted to kick back after a few hours of traveling with some beers and some grub. Unfortunately, the kitchen closed a half hour before we got there, but were happy that they let us order food and eat eat it there. Great selection of craft beers, good atmosphere, and a few big tvs to watch the game. A lot of locals who livened the place up. They had 2 pool tables and a juke box, and it was just a fun place to be. Very clean and tidy. The bartender was great, I forgot to catch his name, but was friendly as hell and engaging. Will definitely be back, and hope to...
