Al's Burger Shack — Restaurant in Leland

05/2025- Al's Burger Shack sent me a coupon for a my birthday and my wife and I stopped back at Al's Burger Shack and gave it another chance after they have moved beyond their opening jitters and I am pleased to report a much more enjoyable experience.

My biggest complaint last time revolved around the speed of service, which appears to be resolved by a natural slowdown after the initial boost due to a new restaurant.

Food was delivered within 20 minutes this time and as I noted in my previous review everything still tasted really good.

Food was freshly made and everything was of high quality.

Glad to have Al's Burger Shack here in Leland.

01/2025-My wife and I stopped for dinner on a Friday evening and ordered just before 6:50pm. The place was crowded, but there was nobody in front of us to order and you could see tables turning over while we waited for someone to take our order. We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, and half order of fries and half order of tots. Order came out to just under $40 with a tip.

About 5 minutes after we ordered we found a table to sit and wait, and wait we did. It was just shy of 7:30pm before we got our order. 40 minutes for a fast casual burger and fries makes it a pretty insurmountable task for an enjoyable experience despite however good the food did or did not taste. The staff was friendly and working hard, but they either can't handle the demand in the kitchen due to capacity or need more hands on deck.

The food itself was solid overall. The comps for this place are 5 Guys, Burger-Fi, Hwy 55, etc.... I much prefer Al's burger to that of 5 Guys. Their fries are decent, tots were solid, and sweet potato fries were quite good. My wife said her chicken sandwich was "fine".

Reply to CEO ! You need to be there to see what’s going on! Our order was placed inside and we waited 25 minutes still got COLD FOOD. I threw it in the trash and left without eating. Leaving a honest review makes things change quicker. The kids th is day in time that are being hired can care less because it’s not their business. There was a girl cooking and as we waited customers orders were wrong and they were complaining as well. Yuck! No excuse for COLD FOOD! Went tonight and not impressed at all. Actually McDonald’s burger taste better and I hate McDonald’s food don’t eat there either. . 26.00 for COLD BURGER WITH COLD CHEESE THROWN ON IT. Five Stars for Al's — because I can't give it 10!

I wish I could give Al's Burger Shack 10 stars because they deserve every one of them! We tried multiple burgers to sample as much as we could, and I even devoured two hot dogs, fries, and tater tots. Every bite was incredible. The burgers were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the hot dogs were bursting with flavor, and those crispy fries and tots were just right. Plus, enjoying an ice-cold IPA with it all was the perfect touch.

The staff was on point—very busy but super happy and helpful, which made the experience even better. The building layout, with the corner glass and outside area, was awesome! It gave the place a unique and welcoming vibe that added to the overall enjoyment.

The only downside? It's an hour away from where I live. I wish there was one right in my neighborhood! But even with the distance, I'll definitely be back—it's THAT good. Totally worth the drive.

If you're craving burgers that are on another level, Al's is the place to go. Great Price for quality service and atmosphere. I'll have to say I love Al's. We will...
