The 5 stars go to one very special employee and her name is Tatianna (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly), oh and that fresh quarter pounder I had for lunch. I have been to this McDonald's on several occasions and I never had anything good to say about it. I strongly disliked going to this particular one because the lines were always long and the workers treated you as if you were an inconvenience. I swore to never go back but my boys convinced me to not just take them to this particular McDonalds but to dine in with them which I dreaded. I expected the worst and was prepared to be treated rudely. When me and my boys walked in we were greeted with the most life giving smile followed by, hello my name is Tatianna welcome. I have to say I instantly let my guard down to embrace a new experience. From the moment Tatianna greeted us until the moment we left she rendered genuine customer service to me and my boys; while rendering the same service to the many customers that came in after us. Tatianna showed me how to use the kiosk, entertained the many request that my boys had about the happy meal toys (even allowing them to change their toy out since they were bummed that they kept receiving the same toy - note: I have not been to a McDonalds in San Diego County that allowed them too). She continually cleaned up tables and floors which allowed for a comfortable and clean environment to eat in and I even watched her professionally and skillfully handle two customer request despite their lack of respect. She went above the customer’s request and quickly took care of their request. I might joke and say she was sort of running around like a chicken with its head cut off but did it gracefully and kept a genuine smile on her face. One of my sons even said "I like her she's so nice to us can we always come to this McDonalds?" I usually don't write reviews unless I feel it’s necessary and I feel Tatianna excellent service to me and my boys was more than worth writing a review about. If you visit this McDonalds, I hope you get a chance to experience the service that Tatianna rendered. Her service definitely made me forget for a second that I was at a fast food restaurant; McDonald's at that. Thank you Tatianna for being YOU and sharing your services with the McDonalds team, they greatly need more genuine people like you who treat people like people! Keep it up and I hope to see you in a leadership position soon so you can pass that vibe down to others and that experience canl be shared by the entire McDonalds team. YOU ROCK GIRL!!! Read moreJust had a bad experience at this McDonald's. First of all I like McDonalds, and this one is a place where I've gone as far as I can remember. Nevertheless, their customer service was meager. I was refused the ability to order at the cashier, and was told I needed to order through the new touchscreen booths. So I calmly asked again if I could just order from the cashier and they told me clearly "no". So I went back to the booth and I couldn't get an order I wanted due to their limited options. For example, let's say I want a hamburger with a lettuce wrap instead of buns, or any other order where I would want to add or hold an ingredient. It wouldn't be possible or a lot more difficult to make a request like that at the booth. I was told to order at the booth and then go to the cashier and ask them to change the order, that is counterintuitive. Taking my order in the first place from the cashier would have been much better. So I left. I didn't get to eat what I wanted, do to the inconveniences. Or what if I was an elderly man, and I don't like machines. Or if I was someone with a unnoticeable disability. Their touchscreen booths couldn't of helped. Read moreIf I could apply a no star I would. I was assisted on a very cloudy day by Guillermo the manager at this location. My family ordered via app parked in designated parking. As it was busy we were prepared to wait. Guillermo came to our car with the wrong order, we advised him our name and order - he delivered the order he had to the correct car and NEVER returned with our order. I went in 20 minutes after this encounter- he then advised me "we do not have your order" so he decided it was not proper service to come to my car I guess and tel me this. Upon looking further he found the order and issued my refund. He never once issued an apology for poor service or simply not noticing our order. This location is close to several others with way better service and attentiveness, I'd stay away! Or go inside so they're forced to serve you.
