I visited the new Q Restaurant in Lemont with my wife and 8-year-old son and we were all very impressed by the experience. The appetizer menu is huge and we ended up with the Shrimp Rolls which were really great. My wife had the Mojito which had both mint and cucumber and was very refreshing. I went to the Martini menu and tried the Gentlemen's Night which was really solid. For dinner, I went with the Seafood Lover which had scallops, shrimp, crab meat, calamari, and mushrooms in a spicy brandy curry sauce. The presentation was amazing and when you add in the rice, it was enough food for 2 meals. Very highly recommended! My wife had the Drunken Noodle with chicken which was another very large meal that was very tasty. My 8-year-old is very picky and the waitress recommended the Sesame Chicken which he loved! It was a ton of small pieces of tempura chicken in a unique sweet and sour sauce with stir-fried veggies. He really enjoyed it and I snuck some off of his plate and liked it as well. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by this new hidden gem in Lemont. Looking forward to going back soon to explore more of the expansive menu!

What a great addition to Lemont! We have been meaning to come here for a while, and now that we finally have we will be making it a point to come more often! The Qlamari were a delicious starter - very fresh and tender, with two delicious sauces. One was creamy green sauce, tasted like a spicy jalapeno coconut curry, the other was a sweet chili sauce. The entree's were a nice spin on traditional dishes. They had a good depth of flavor and had the traditional flavor while tasting elevated. I have never tried the fried rice noodles , I loved the crunch they added to the Lad Nar. The Pepper steak was delicious too. We are excited to try some more of our traditional thai favorites like drunken noodles, pad woon sen, etc the next time and see what kind of delicious spin they put on them! Also - at first I was surprised that they chose the strip mall on State as their location, but the interior is actually beautiful, cozy, and delightfully understated. I also appreciate that I didn't have to search for parking and I could easily order takeout here as well. Make this your next meal out - you won't be disappointed!!

Probably like most, I first heard of this place on an episode of Check Please. I have made several visits to determine if it was everything I expected it to be. The food and drinks were made to order. They were all full of flavor and delicious. They substituted other seafood for the King Crab but the price was the same. There was an upcharge because the size of the fish was larger. I would recommend listing it as market price. One visit and item was complimentary; the next visit a charge was added to the bill as a "side" item. Customer service can be hit or miss on any given visit. All of these reasons are why they are not receiving 5 stars.

Terrible Service and a Disappointing Experience at Q Restaurant, Lemont We visited Q Restaurant in Lemont on 5/24/25 hoping for a nice Thai dinner, but unfortunately, our experience was defined by one of the rudest and most unprofessional server/owner I’ve ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, the waitress seemed annoyed and impatient. She made no effort to be welcoming, and every question or request was met with visible frustration, as if we were inconveniencing her by dining there. The food was hit or miss — the Avocado Lover appetizer was good, and the Thai Cashew and Red Curry were decent. However, both Pad Thai dishes we ordered were a disaster. One of them was for my daughter, who simply asked for it without onions or egg — a request that’s never been an issue at any other Thai restaurant. The waitress asked whether we wanted it mild or spicy, which was odd since Pad Thai isn’t typically spicy in the first place, but we chose mild, assuming they add chili by default. What arrived was shocking — completely pale, flavorless noodles that tasted only of vegetable oil, with no trace of sauce or seasoning. It was inedible. My daughter took one bite and pushed it aside. We mentioned this calmly when the waitress checked on us, expecting at least some acknowledgment or an offer to remedy the situation. Instead, she became immediately defensive, blaming us for ordering it mild. According to her, the lack of flavor was our fault — apparently, the chili is what gives it taste. Not only is that inaccurate (Pad Thai gets its flavor from tamarind, fish sauce, palm sugar, etc.), but her tone was dismissive and condescending. When we explained that we order Pad Thai regularly and have never had this issue, she doubled down and even criticized us for asking for no onions — again, as if our basic preferences somehow invalidated the poor quality of the dish. When we received the bill, we were shocked to see we’d been charged for both Pad Thai dishes — despite the fact that one was barely touched. We asked, respectfully, if anything could be done about that, and she flat-out refused. To add insult to injury, she then loudly called across the restaurant to another table of women, “How was the Pad Thai, ladies? It was great, right?” in what was clearly a deliberate attempt to make us feel embarrassed or isolated. I’ve never experienced such hostility from restaurant staff, especially over something so minor and easily remedied. This wasn’t a case of a simple mistake — it was a case of being treated with open disdain by someone who clearly should not be working in customer service. We will absolutely not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone who values respectful service and a decent dining experience to avoid this place. Edit, after writing this review I was not surprised to see all the negative comments about the owner, it looks like she’s a very rude person and definitely should not be in the service industry, avoid this place like the plague if you want to be...

The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. But that's about it. I appreciate them wanting to be clean and make sure the restaurant is sanitized but the lack of genuine care for the customer left me with a very poor "taste in my mouth." I rarely give less than 5 star reviews as I'm always about giving people praise but I Have to say this... and I took some time to think... "am I being rational and fair here'. So this review is after many careful thoughts.

They told our party that we only had 90 minutes because we weren't vaccinated. They straight up asked us if we were vaccinated or not. We were little surprised. .

The whole entire time, they had a very rude tonality when asking questions. I had no problem with the questions but it was asked in a very aggressive/rude way.

Finally, when we asked them to split the check for us, one server just walked passed us saying she had to help another customer. (hmm...)

And when we finally got to our server, she outright said 'no' to splitting the check amongst our party.

The food honestly was sub-par and definitely not something I would rave about. At least they could have made it up with better customer service if they were offering a higher price for typical food menu.

I understand this is a private business and they can do what they want. But as a customer who can choose to "vote with their dollars", I have no plans to return to this restaurant and won't recommend it to others who is considering. I hope the restaurant improves. Best of wishes to the owners and the staff.

(Edit: I read some of the responses from the owner to disgruntled customers like me. I was extremely disappointed on how such responses could be rude, arrogant, and appears to come from ego. Took my 2 stars down to 1. It is clearly reflected on the employees and how they were incredibly cold. How the owner treats the employee ultimately is reflected on how the employees treat...

Friday, May 23 2024 my friends and I visited Q Restaurant. The owner is so incredibly rude, no customer service for our party of 6. The food was absolutely atrocious and the service was worse. My friend wrote a review because the whole experience was absolutely shocking. The owner replied to her review with a terrible nasty comment like she has to everyone else’s negative one star reviews which are ALL ABOUT HER! You’d think if she cared about her business she would see these negative reviews and realize SHE IS THE PROBLEM! Not only that, she’s a liar! She replied that we came in with outside drinks and we insisted on drinking them and kept drinking them which is a complete LIE. We did come in with two sparkling waters and she came to the table and started to take them away and I said no we want those so I immediately took them back to the car. Then two people at the table ordered Pad Thai the owner said do you want it mild? Which was odd since Pad Thai is a very common Thai dish and it never comes spicy unless you may want to add chile to it. The pad Thai came out and it was literally shredded raw carrots, shredded raw red cabbage, and boiled noodles NO SAUCE! We asked why the Pad Thai had no sauce and the owner replied “you order mild!!!” She was very nasty and dismissive so when our $177 bill came out and no one ate those disgusting plain boiled noodles, I asked her to take them off the bill. She refused and said “no! You order mild!!!” I said that’s not mild that’s no sauce no flavor. She continued to make nasty comments and when replying to my friend’s review she said we changed the Pad Thai order and wanted to not pay. Of course we didn’t want to pay for that slop. I’ve read all of the negative comments and she is the problem. She obviously thinks the customers are the nasty ones and she’s in the right. Please look at the one star reviews and you will see...
