Some of the managers here should be ashamed…extremely unprofessional. My brother just started working here almost 2 months ago and he’s been living with me so I’ve been quietly watching from the sidelines how they’ve been treating him.. I stay out of his business for the most part. But I know he works from 5 to closing, 5 days a week, and hasn’t missed a day. In the first few weeks he wasted gas and went to work multiple times just to get sent home instead of just receiving a courtesy phone call and being told not to come in. In the first week he was marked off the schedule and almost let go because one of the managers claimed he didn’t show up even though he did and it showed that on the time sheet…guess they didn’t think to verify that first. Hes spoke a few times about the environment at work which was alarming to me also.
Then I myself felt extremely disrespected just by being in the restaurant for the first time and speaking a few words to my brother who was at that time mopping. In the last few days the surrounding counties was hit pretty hard by hurricane Helene. Many of us have been without power for days. Traffic lights not working. Roads have been demolished with people unable to leave their homes. I simply didn’t know my brother had to work today so I was worried and originally just stopped to check and see if he was there, then saw him through the window working and walked in to ask him what time he got off. There was barely 2-3 cars outside and he was cleaning.. not cooking or doing anything that required immediate attention and I had only just started to speak to him when the manager looks over at us with a mean look, says a few words that I couldn’t make out and then made a comment that I could hear about not paying him to just stand around and talk. Not even 15 seconds had passed before she said this. Talk about feeling completely disrespected and uncomfortable at the same time. I wanted to say something so badly but also know how badly my brother needs the job… He later tells me how poorly he was treated since the moment I left which is a personal opinion but still…...
Read moreThis was our first time at a Cookout and the kitchen was dirty, we were over charged, and the cashier got mad when I asked her to correct the amount we were charged. There were 5+ workers in the kitchen. They couldn't tell what shakes they had just made so they were sniffing the shakes to try to figure out what the flavors were. They were stepping over trash and through spilled drinks on the floor. When I told them they overcharged us, the cashier just walked away from me. Then a different person came back with my food and I said we need to correct the cost and she got irritated with me and said what wasn't right? So I told her they charged us for 1 extra hot dog and 1 extra milkshake. She just stared at me and said, well what do you want me to do about it? I told her I wanted the money back they overcharged and she asked me how much it was. So I had to take out a phone to calculate it for her. I told her it was $6.38 + tax. And she counted out $6.38 put it on the counter and walked away.
I got another worker's attention and told them the drink was wrong. We were given Coke Zero instead of Coke. She poured out the drink and dipped the cup I had been drinking out of into the ice. Gross!
The actual building still looks new and we really wanted to like this place, but we will not be going back until some major...
Read moreI was their third customer this morning at 10:30a opening. The best part about my lunch was I received a straw and napkins. My food looked and smelt like yesterday maybe a tray that was left behind. Both hot dogs looked wrinkled and the bun was mangled The fries where wet. I don't understand why someone would have released this tray and too be the third customer and my plate looked and smelt horrible. I came home and fixed me a ham sandwich I should have done this in the first place. I can say this was the first time I had a horrible experience with this place. The person that made this tray is NOT a happy employee and doesn't care about their customers. $7 for this unreal and the lady that was working drive through never layed eyes on me she looked very hungover but o well she's gonna have a long hot day at work it didn't seem like she liked her job either Cook out y'all need to clean up your staff it's too early for working people too come spend their money on food that is horribly made no customers no business Get...
