The Old Red Mill Taphouse checked the box for country-inspired comfort food in a charming setting with service to match. Tried the pan seared trout and the brisket, both of which were excellent, with the sliced brisket being smokey and fork tender. To our delight, the sides were just as good as the entrees, with the grits being some of the most rich and delicious I've ever tried. Kudos to the restaurant for sourcing some ingredients locally. When we left after paying our bill no one apologized for the poor service . The menus is way too large for the start up phase- I hope they work out the kinks- we will certainly give them a few months before...
