Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Lewisburg

Ordered to-go at 8:05, was on the late side for a Sunday but still 2 hours to close. Got a cheeseburger with a side of mac and cheese and the fried shrimp platter. Was told at order it would be 25 to 30 minutes, I was a 5 minute walk away but arrived 25 minutes later and was told to go to the bar. No bartender so I went to the bathroom waiting for them to come back. Returned and still no bartender, a few waitresses came and went but after several minutes waiting at the bar with my wallet out trying to get attention, one of the employees took pity on me. I think she may have been a cook based on her black jacket, bit she got my order. It had been sitting there the whole time. With tip it was $38 for the two entrees with no appetizers and no drinks. It was supposed to be a $1.49 upcharge for the mac and cheese and I was charged $5.18. The shrimp was good, but it was way too small a portion for the crazy $16.29 charge especially considering I didn't get hush puppies that the menu describes, both fries and shrimp were cold. The cole slaw was ironically floating in dressing and really bad, the mac and cheese marginally better but not worth the price. The cheeseburger. I didn't know that they come with no dressing. There is no ketchup, mustard or mayo to help the dry, overcooked premade frozen patties. I had walked back to the hotel before I realized but it was so dry I walked back. I went back to the bar and asked for mayo and ketchup, the same nice woman in the black jacket and pink hoodie helped. I never did see Austin my supposed server/bartender according to my ticket, I hope he didn't get the tip. The ticket time showed he put in my order 16 minutes after I called it in and overcharged me. Another employee apologized and offered another burger but I was out of patience and just wanted to leave. In good intentions she said they could have it out in 10 minutes but that just made me more mad since I had waited more than 40 for the first one. The manager spoke up but only to inform me that the cheeseburgers are always served without any dressings/sauce, so it was my fault since I didn't ask for some. He was too busy rubber stamp faking some checklist to be bothered with a customer. Frustrated with paying almost $40 for two to-go boxes of mediocre from the freezer food I went back to eat with my wife, my kids had fallen asleep waiting for dinner. The first bite of the cold cheeseburger I hit something so hard I thought I had chipped a tooth and had to spit it out. This place is hot...

I have eaten at Ruby Tuesday 9 times since visiting Lewisburg, WV April 5. I plan on visiting a few more times before I go home on April 27th. Every time I visit I order a bacon cheeseburger, no onion, well done and I emphases no pink. Every times I have come it has been cooked to perfection, no pink and not burned or dry. Just delicious goodness of a burger. I visit today, April 23rd and my routine remains the same; "Bacon cheese burger, no onion well done with no pink please". My order is ready and the server brings it to my table. I look at it, then look at him he says "oh shoot no onion right" grabs it and has the kitchen make another one. I wait a few more moments for a fresh burger with no onion. I open the burger up and it's not well done with no pink as requested. It is very pink, a medium burger. I tell my server, he takes it back and they proceed to make me a new burger.

Moments later they bring out a fresh burger for the third time. This burger was half the size of any burger that I have ever received in my 8 visits this month let alone the previous burgers they have messed up today. I asked the server is this patty smaller, he said it looks like it, the might have given you a smaller patty so it isn't pink. But that's not a huge issue I'll deal with it.

Then, I take a bite of the burger. It is completely burned. Like previously stated I've eaten here 8 times and never had an issue with ordering a well done burger and getting it burned.

In fear of getting my food intentionally dropped on the floor or spat on I just dealt with it.

What really drew the line with me They mess up my burger 3 times. I don't get an apology, 25% off my bill, a free app or nothing. Table next to me orders an app. The manager brings their app out says " sorry it took So long, this is on me". My question is why didn't I get the manager to bring my food out, apologize or comp my food. I know I'm in Lewisburg, WV. sure hope race wasn't the factor. I am usually very laid back when it comes to going out with my family, and we are usually a family of six when my husband is with us. Tonight it was only a table for five. They were not busy but it just seemed like the kitchen messed up and the waiter who was amazing seemed slightly overwhelmed as they kept double seating in his section. Our drinks and appetizers came out very timely and he delivered them. When it came down to the meals, the kids were all served and my plate was missing and delivered by a different serving member who did not think to ask about my food nor stay around long enough for me to ask about my plate. I also ordered a steak meal to take home to the hunny to be made as we were concluding our food which was delivered and cooked perfectly. But my plate was still missing. When He brought my reciept, I informed him very nicely that my plate was actaully never charged for nor was it delivered. He said he would eat the charge and submit my cajun steak dinner to be made, to which the manager tonight said no..... after I had signed my reciept and tipped my waiter. I asked for the manager to straighten everything out and let him know since I had to wait so long on my food I was not paying for it and he would comp it. He agreed, went to have my plate made knowing I was ready to go. Brings the plate back but I had to ask for it to go as my kids were finished and restless. He said he would be right back, but never came back with my food. I went to the bar where I could find my server and found my food in a box on the counter. He sincerely apologized as he felt it made him look bad. This was on the manager tonight as well. I am done with here as there...
