I called ahead looking for a power loveseat what's lumbar support and spoke with Jessica over the phone. She took her time to listen to my needs and also concerns that I have with purchasing a new loveseat as I had a horrific experience, 2 years in with my Klaussner sofa I purchased from here. This has nothing to do with Grand's rather trying to figure out how Klaussner will take care of my horrible sinking and deflating sofa, which I am to date 4.5 years into that sofa awaiting a response from their corporate office in regards to making a right out of our current sofa. Jessica was helpful over the phone in gaging my son and I's needs and came up with in store floor model options we may like. I went to pick my son up from school and we went in and as always Grands goes above and beyond with customer service by providing popcorn and a beverage, or in my son's case several beverages, while we were looking at and trying out love seats. The greater was pleasant and Jessica is knowledgeable with our feedback assisting us to the next loveseat and providing options we can choose from. It's refreshing to go to a store and find an employee who genuinely takes time to listen to a potential customer to actually help them and understand their needs. She did just this with us yesterday. In the past with family purchases from Grand's for our vacation home here in Wva, they've always shown customer appreciation in regards to calling, even a couple of years after a purchase to let us know they have a complimentary gift at the store for us to pick up. We've had a wine bottle accessory gift set, grilling utensil tools gift and Swarovski crystal earrings too. They do take care of their former customers and even when just going in to browse, they always have fresh popcorn and soda/water offered to everyone who enters this store. Good people! ETA: 9/7/19 Klaussner worked with Grand's and resolved my sofa issue. Everyone here is helpful and positive. Thank you for your service Jessica and I'm grateful for my new purchases from Grand's!ETA: 4/15/2022 OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER CARE and service. So very pleased with the quality of product and service....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't waste your time. I went in to this store planning to buy two dining chairs. I had to wait nearly 20 minutes before someone "caught my eye" and came over and asked if they could help me. I explained that I wanted two dining chairs and knew exactly what I wanted to buy. Total cost would have been a little over $300. I asked if maybe they could knock a little off the price since I was paying cash on the spot and would take them with me. I would have even paid full price had the sales guy been a little more friendly and helpful. The gentle, in a gruffly voice said "we are not having any sales. You might want to check back during Labor Day". I also asked if they had any spare chairs that were just sitting around as extras, like when people bu a table but not the chairs to go with it, because I needed another regular chair for my desk. I explained I didn't want a rolling-type desk chair. He made it very clear that they do not have chairs that you can just buy that may have been left over from another set. "We don't sell individual chairs like that", he stated. The guy seemed to have no interest in making a sale, and didn't even introduce himself upon approach. If this is the kind of customer service Grand's has, then I am not interested. There are plenty of furniture stores elsewhere that can meet my needs. The guy could have made a sale today, if he had been a little more pleasant. But you don't buy from someone who you feel like you are taking up their time, and are being interrupted in their work day. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I was always taught that when you go to work, you leave your other problems at the front door when you go in. There was only one other customer in the store, and a female employee was taking care of them. With the attitude of sales people like this, and if the same holds true at their other stores, this chain will soon be history. People DO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat products. Good assistance from sales associates. The people who sit behind the computers where you pay however are awful. Told a lady that I wanted to write checks in advance for my purchase, and instead told me I had to apply for financing and in which I somehow got denied. Took a hit on my credit score. Only for the lady to then say there is a way to pay with the checks in advance. I told her that is literally what I wanted to do in the first place. She then said because i didnāt mention the term ācross checkā is why she didnāt know what I was talking about, but how am I supposed to know what the correct term is if Iāve never bought before? Not to mention that she gave me a wrong amount for a check AFTER I had already written the check, and after she ran it through the machine. She was so unprofessional. She was making fat jokes about herself in front of me, and was trying to humor me with that and it was 100% not funny. The most unprofessional woman Iāve ever seen. The communication from them was non-existent and messed up my delivery date. The only good people who seem to work there are the...
