Our family held services for the passing of our mother/grandmother and for the reception even though coffee was included at the venue it was decided that we would provide Starbucks (an +$80 purchase). The coffee was pre paid for and we were told all we had to do was bring in the tab for the order and good to go. Upon arrival the order was ready to go for the 9 am pickup, handed the slip over and prepared to depart. I am then told that it has not been paid. I asked for them to double check (I did not prepay just there to pick up) and after employee shifted around what appeared to be a few pieces of garbage they assured me that if it had been paid there would definitely be something there to indicate this. The drive through window was very busy and they clearly seemed to not have time to actually dig into the situation even with 5-6 people working behind the counter. I was however given plenty of looks as if I was lying/scamming or trying to avoid payment. By the way thanks for that in my time of mourning. Rather than argue I paid the bill and departed.
Had to return after the services to bring in the pre purchase receipt and was given a refund. Would have preferred to have been spending valuable time with family rather than running more errands.
When pre payment has been made I am sure Starbucks has systems in place to indicate that it has been pre paid for customer convenience. Clearly a breakdown in communication from store management who was barely able to muster an apology for the situation. Makes sense as clearly no one in the establishment felt any need to dig further only had time to crank through as many customers as possible.

Read moreAbsolutely horrible service. Sabrina was belligerent, rude, condescending, and unaccountable. No one greeted me when I entered which is company policy, and ignored me sitting at the register ready to order. When I asked for the birthday drink, demanded I have the app, even though it doesn't work on my phone. I said, okay, grab a manager and perform an override, she claimed she was, a blatant lie. I said okay, write your name on the receipt and I'll complain to corporate, and she refused. Typical narcissist, demand accountability from everyone else, but deflect it when it's them. Needs sensitivity training immediately, at best, kicked out the door most likely. Go...
Read moreStopped here out of necessity after a trip to the ER. My coffee was made very well by a very personable batista but I found out EVEN THOUGH THEY ACCEPT TIPS NOW, THE BATISTAS ARE FORCED TO SHARE THEM EQUALLY AMONG EVERY EMPLOYEE. This means people who don't offer great service get just as much gratuity as people who display excellent skill and demeanor. It means people that only work a few hours get the same cut as a full time worker. And they're not allowed to accept personal tips to ensure they get what you want to give. This is ABSURD. Just another reason I cannot...
