Had a take out order of shrimp fried rice for my lunch. Opened the container and just from the smell alone I could tell the food was spoiled. Called them and received no answer. I work and was unable to come that same day since they close before I get off, so I showed up 3 days later on my off day with the same container in my lunch bag to tell them about the food. They were very kind up until I mentioned the spoiled rice. Then it felt like they were on defense mode. The lady at the front goes “why didn’t you call?” I told her I did and she checked her “call log” and said I didn’t. So I read her the phone number from my call log to see if it was correct number. she admitted that that’s the correct number but since she couldn’t find me in her call log, she then proceeds to tell me she didn’t still receive a call even though I just showed her. To make matters worse she refused to give any kind of solution. I wasn’t even asking for a refund at the time just for them to remake it since it was good the last time. She shakes her head no that she won’t tell them to remake the food just because I didn’t come in person the same day. Yet I called and no one picked up. Then suddenly so many of the employees came up and surrounded me not saying a single word just staring making me feel extremely uncomfortable as if I’m making a big scene which I wasn’t at all. I didn’t know it was a big deal to remake a simple rice. Don’t recommend this place at all. From other reviews, the food sits out long no longer being fresh and apparently it’s your fault if you find any fault with the food. Won’t come back here again! Terrible customer service. I recommend dragon express down the street or Hoi Mei in Dallas area if you’re taking out or need to stop lunch.
In response to stores comment: I wasn't going to give a response, but I will not tolerate you lying on my name! Wow! Ask your employee! I read and showed her the call log with your company’s phone number and she indeed confirmed it is your restaurant's number! I placed the order this Tuesday which I told your employee. I’ve attached proof since you need it so bad. Your employee said I wasn’t on the “record” even though I gave her every bit of information possible and she still said my order didn't pop up then completely stopped checking. Now you’re saying I'm now on the record and you found my order all of a sudden. You're contradicting yourself. Which is it? If you actually spoke to me in person you would’ve gotten your facts straight. My father ordered 5 portions of food last Friday for the family. Nothing was wrong. They keep turning the food over every hour to make it look fresh to customers coming in sad really. I tried to give them a chance to bring it back. But as you can see it's still happening years later. I usually don't like putting a comment like this considering it takes a lot for me to do this. I don't like the animosity or the drama. But when a business owner forgets about the fact that they are feeding human beings and it's all about the money we have a problem. Here's another thing they don't have good reviews if you can go I checked this on Google you will see. I bet you all the people that comment good reviews are their own people. They don't have a good selection of food for that matter very small with bad quality what can you expect. I hate to be honest but honesty is the best policy. Sadly thats pretty much where the good stuff ends. There was plenty of food available even with an absolutely jam packed place. However the taste of the food was pretty poor. Fish was incredibly bland, shrimp was absolutely tasteless, everything tasted like it had 0 seasoning.
The chicken on a stick was actually fairly decent, great char on the outside, juicy on the inside, but that was pretty much the only thing that was appetizing there.
The sushi area had completely torn apart sushi as it looked like a few folks had crushed the sushi rolls to see what was in them. The row next to the fried foods was a mess... there was some pizza there I guess for the kids that looked like someone had shotgunned a pizza against the wall and then dumped it into a tray. Did I mention the lady with the toddler near the chocolate fountain who let her kid stick is whole freaking hand into it? Gags.
Its a buffet and Im not expecting Gorden Ramsey quality but at $20 bucks a plate if the food has less taste than McDonald's across the street I'm going to be a bit annoyed.
I'd give the service 4-5 stars, the food 1 star (with the exception of chicken on a stick), but the $20 each price point was the nail in the coffin here.
