Roland's Jamaica Chicken — Restaurant in Lewisville

Now the Mac and Cheese... has a bit of a different look than what you are used to. However, it is pretty tasty! I was in the mood for shrimp. I got the curry shrimp with peas and rice and mac'n cheese.

The curry shrimp was okay. Sauce was kind of runny.. Expected a thicker curry sauce. The peas and rice were good. The gravy gave it a nice kick for me. I wonder if they offer a side of jerk sauce?

The service was friendly. Nice restaurant. I can see theme nights being hosted, or people coming to watch games have a drink and eat food. I do plan to return and give another try. Next time I'm going for the jerk chicken. This go around was just okay with...

..Have you ever closed your eyes while eating a meal? I lived that experience with their Jamaican Oxtails, rice and peas, and cabbage were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, mesmerizing, and perfectly seasoned—I found myself savoring every bite. The rice and peas were spot on, and the cabbage added the perfect balance.

The oxtails were tender and tasty, though I would’ve preferred a little less fat. Still, the flavor was outstanding and made the meal so satisfying. Delicious!!! I'm originally from Miami and I'm so happy I found a Jamaican restaurant with great authentic taste!!! The oxtails were tender in brown gravy, rice n peas was fluffy with a slight coconut taste, black chicken and cabbage was seasoned good! They are NOT skimpy on their portions! 5 plus 🌟 Leftovers for today! I've found my Jamaican restaurant in my backyard of Lewisville! Reggae music took me back to Jamaica!
