Had a great experience yesterday at the Paint Your Pet event at the Lewisville location. As someone who is not an artist, I loved how easy they made it for us. Everything was ready when we got there- canvases with our animal photos were set up, paints and brushes ready to go. Cups are available if you choose to bring something to sip on (it is byob). Our instructor, Jess was really helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The class was fairly small- just 12 people, so she was able to spend some time helping one-on-one if needed. The classroom area was comfortable and I enjoyed the music they had in the background. This event benefitted Operation Kindness and two OK volunteers were there with one of the shelter dogs so you could take a break and go have some puppy time. Our pet portraits turned out great. I almost thought I would need to come back later to finish mine because it is just a 3-hour class, but I managed. It's nice they give you the option to return to finish if you need to since everyone works at their own pace. The time went by very quickly! I will definitely be back for another event...
Read moreWe had a great time and the instructor we had was great, but my goodness don’t be late!! They send you an automated text an hour before the party to everyone that says “ Class begins @ 7pm, late comers will miss important info, those individuals will not expect individual instruction, you will need to do this on your own.” among other threats like you won’t be able to participate. It felt very rude. This information could definitely be communicated in a more professional manner.
Of course I had an unavoidable circumstance that made me about 10 min late, and one of the instructors got on to me when I came in about being late in front of her group. Super unprofessional and embarrassing. Luckily the instructor we actually had was very kind and helped me catch up. I get that it would be hard to have someone come in late (I know, because I’m a teacher), but you never know what people are going...
Read moreWe had the most amazing time! I am an author, and we did a book launch for my latest book, Key of Power, the third book in my fantasy trilogy, yesterday afternoon at Painting with a Twist. Our instructor Amy and her assistant Emily were absolutely wonderful!! This was a very special event for us for many reasons, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how Painting with a Twist facilitated it. Everyone had so much fun painting the scene from the book's cover and it was a great time of family and friends, old and new, and of all ages. If you are looking for a fun activity or a place to celebrate a special event - I highly recommend them. Hubby and I are already planning a return visit to this location for date night. Huge thanks to everyone at Painting with a Twist for an event filled with memories we'll...
