When we arrived we told the waitress I have a gluten allergy amongst others. We immediately bonded over our allergies and my friends were making fun of me saying I can’t go anywhere. We asked about gluten free options and she was happy to tell us she could do half gluten free crackers on the board and half regular bread. These are the crackers I received, after I had already ate 2 about 10 minutes later she ran out saying those weren’t the gluten free crackers. She apologized and said the chef was new and didn’t realize. This is no excuse after I talked about how bad my allergy is and I was throwing up in their restroom 15 minutes later. She was not new and knew what the crackers looked like, and why would no body triple check when it’s an allergy?! The older waitress (manager, maybe) was very unkind and kept cussing (not at us) when bringing our food to the table. Their menu said they had New York strips, so imagine our surprise when we were brought out t-bones. They also serve their steaks on a cast iron platter (like fajita meat) so it was beyond over cooked and burnt to the plate by the time it was cool enough to eat. They also didn't have enough steaks to accommodate who all wanted one (so we couldn't send them back). The salmon was also over cooked and dry. This restaurant is very small and I would not recommend taking a party larger than 4 or 5 here. They also charge 40% gratuity (unsure if they only do this for large parties). Read moreI can’t say in words how good was my experience overall. First Brandan greeted us at the door immediately when we arrived. He asked where we wanted to be seated and cleaned a table for us. He knows the menu and he gave me an excellent recommendation for a smooth red that Im planning to get for me personally. From the cheese board, the bread and oil and the main entree, everything was outstanding. Was a Friday night and we were able to find parking nearby.
