Me and my family of 4 went to BJ’s for the Oweh (Kentucky basketball player ) meet and greet. The event was free l, they didn’t charge a dime. We were able to speak with him and talk for as long as we liked. My kids loved it.
While there we decided to eat while we were waiting. They have weekly specials and so we all ordered the hamburgers (giant, different). I ordered the BBQ hamburger, I’m not sure the exact name. It was fantastic, and they had all you could eat fries.
Our server was fantastic and kept our drinks filled. She checked on us perfectly, not too much but didn’t leave us hanging once. Then we ordered a dessert which we all were able to eat on, it was excellent 5/5.
We will begin to go to BJ’s, as all of this, the meet and greet (we got 3 autographs), drinks, 4 dinner meals, and a dessert for 50 dollars total. I felt like I was back in 2002. This is the place to go for a family of 4 especially when you order their daily special. Even some dinners that are a tad pricey are extremely good and not overly priced. And it’s every nice inside, not too quiet, not too loud, with lighting perfect. Very relaxed environment.
The manager came over to speak to us as well, very nice and accommodating. They seem to care about their customers and treat them as clients, which is rare today. Since we enjoyed the hospitality and food, and the event they put on with the Kentucky player for my kids, we’ve chosen to give them much of our eating out experiences. I think you’ll find BJ’s food really good and you’ll be treated well. We are eating there tonight. Also, we went back and the pepperoni flat bread pizza might be one of the best pizza’s and appetizers I’ve ever had. I encourage everyone to order it.
While a 4.3 isn’t a bad rating, I cannot understand anyone rating BJ’s poorly. We now go there more than any restaurant in Lexington. The promotional with Oweh brought us in, so I’d...
Read moreWe went to BJ’s in Oxmoor Mall. We went earlier this time so we didn’t have to rush to get there before Happy Hour was over. We asked to have Jarod W as our server again. He’s a great server. He expresses that he appreciates us and I wish I could have taken a picture of him when I told him that we had a review of BJ’s and him. He said “what ? You did a review of me?” I didn’t want him to think, oh no, did I do something wrong? I said you got 5 Stars and he was just so excited. I showed him the paragraph I had written about him and he rushed over to his manager and told him and brought him back over to meet us. This is the fun part! Seeing the results of how happy everyone is. Well we got back to business and ordered the Spin Dip again. Phil and I are convinced that BJ’s has the best in the city. We ordered the Wedge Salad to split with no blue cheese crumbles or dressing and our favorite ranch. We also shared the Smokehouse burger. This is a great burger! We had a great time and I’m already thinking about what we’ll order the next time! The bar was busy but not noisy. We could talk to each other and look over at the big T.V. screen. Jarod brought us a to go box so I could take home the leftover chips and spin dip. When he brought us our bill, we had earned enough points to get $10 off! Remember how I always say, sign up for the restaurant’s reward system. Our bill came to $8.00 plus our drinks!! Great night!! Oh, we forgot to take a picture of our burger! Don’t forget that the Special of the day on Wednesdays is Hamburgers and 1...
Read moreI really really wanted to enjoy my dinner tonight. My husband and I decided to eat at BJs for our anniversary. My food was awesome. I got the boneless wings and a house salad. My husbands food on the other hand was absolutely disgusting and disappointing for the price we paid. His steak had no flavor, it literally had no seasoning on it at all, and had clearly been cooked on a dirty surface. The black residue was all over his plate. It was also undercooked on one side completely. His loaded baked potato lacked being loaded. Also was not seasoned at all. Our server was friendly at first but she barely checked on us and passed us multiple times to check on the surrounding tables. He had to wait 10 mins for A1 so he could attempt to even eat his steak. I am a server also, and am usually very lenient when it comes to other servers because I know how it is, but she never even checked on us to ask us how our food was. I do not feel like we should have had to pay $30 for my husbands meal when he didn’t eat over half of his steak because it wasn’t edible. We also got a pazookie and it was hard as a rock we couldn’t eat most of it. We paid $60 and got some wings out of it I feel like. Pretty disappointed. Will prob return but it...
