Bob Evans — Restaurant in Lexington

I have never had a meal taste this good in a long time. It took a while to get the order to our table but we were prepared to wait on it. Hand breaded chicken breasts take a little bit of time to prep, so we knew what we were in for when we ordered. We were not in a hurry anyway, needed to sit and rest for a while and take a break from driving and being in the car all day. I can't remember our servers name but she was awesome. Very friendly and actually suggested that we try the honey buttered chicken. It sounded really good and after reading it in the menu we all had to try it. And even though it may have taken 20 or 30 minutes to get the order to our table, we never really kept track of the time, it was way better than I expected and definitely worth it. I had never eat at Bob Evans before, but they made an awesome first time experience and I will definitely be returning again. the music was great, the iced coffee was perfect, food was unforgettable, the people working there were all nice and friendly, they all had warm, welcoming smiles and talked to us like we were family or friends. I'm not sure when I will be in Lexington again, but I will be stopping by Bob Evans for sure. If everything is good the next time I come in, as it was this first time, I may have a new favorite...

As soon as were seated, the waitress asked for our drinks and I asked for water and also coffee. I didn’t even have a chance to look at the table and not notice any creamer so after she brought our drinks out, I asked for creamer and she just gave us a blank look and said you didn’t ask for creamer. So I asked can I get creamer and she just says it again that I didn’t ask so at that point I was confused thinking that now I can’t get any creamer. After a little bit she goes and gets creamer, but while she’s getting it I can hear a waitress ask her what’s wrong and she responds with something about the creamer. Then she brings 3 little packaged creamers. After that, my partner who has a straight view into the kitchen window just sees the cook looking at our table looking a bit mad, pacing back and forth like we did something to offend the waitress. Weird. Then she asked if it’s ok to vacuum and we said sure thinking she was just going to vacuum the aisle but it was awkward when she vacuumed right by our feet. Food wasn’t that special either. I’ve tried giving this Bob Evans multiple chances thinking the service and food will get better but it hasn’t and I will not be coming...

Service was alright but nothing came out like it was supposed to. My husband was never asked what 2 sides he wanted with his meal ......then our meals come out before we ever received our salads or rolls and bread. Then when we asked where our salads were? Server replied the kitchens a bit slow tonight. We stated, Can we get the rolls atleast ? Server said we are out of rolls but I can give you banana bread at no extra charge (breads are free). I was so confused. So if your out of rolls then why are you just now telling us this? And why does my husbands meal have a triple serving of dressing with his turkey meal? (That one never did get fixed). My meal Was almost gone and salad still had not been served so I asked for the soup instead. The check was given after soup was brought and I was again confused because my meal Came with a desert. I ordered the fudge sundae and got a vanilla ice cream with whip topping no chocolate sauce. Again told they are out of something. I felt like taking the palm of my hand and hitting it upon the boys forehead and saying "hello, are you in there ". This was the worst bob Evans I have ever...
