Cook Out — Restaurant in Lexington

I usually never have an issue with my order, but unfortunately today was different. I originally ordered a cookout tray with the spicy sandwich only lettuce, an additional side of fries, and hush puppies. I ordered fine at the speaker came around, paid and received my order. I left to my destination and then was able to open the food. I saw the sandwich was wrong and went back. I tried to tell them the issue at the speaker but the young lady kept saying she could not hear me and pull around please. I went and showed her the receipt for the food and it was correct on the receipt but was made incorrectly. She then stated she could not take the wrong sandwich through the window and to hold on. A few moments later a gentleman asked her if I wanted cheese or anything. I stated no thank you. I received the new sandwich in a bag. I parked and AGAIN it is wrong. This time they gave me a burger with only lettuce. I was so frustrated that I did not go back for the THIRD time and chose to just right this review. Photos are below. I haven't been there in a long time, but the food was awesome. The burgers taste way better than any other fast food places. The fries were great. Finally got me a chocolate chip milkshake. Since no store sells it no more. Except for that cookie dough, yuck!! The prices were way cheaper too. For what I got there I would have paid double or triple. As to what I paid at cook out. I am glad that they didn't go up like every one else. We need a fast food place to keep the prices down, and not go up. When the food and drinks including shakes are awesome. Why would you go anywhere else. The person at the window was awesome and helpful. And had a great attitude. Thank you who ever you are. For the great experience. I will be back....I have to say. It's still an awesome place to go. Please don't change like a lot of other places do. The only complaint I have is now you only get half of a container of coleslaw, why is that. Foods always awesome. Don't change anything. Stay perfect....

First time I've been back in a while, hasn't changed much. There are not enough workers, but that can be said for most places. Food is decent, but rushed, orders aren't logged correctly or food isn't prepared correctly; one or the other.

Who who can blame the cashier when there's 20 people packed in for lunch with absolutely no discernable line order. What with noise from customers and noise from the kitchen.. Who can blame the cook? Probably back there all alone, or with a new guy, trying his best while also managing drive thru orders.

I feel bad for the workers that try hard but this is an honest review.. As an established fast food restaurant, and as a whole.. 2 stars.

Food is decent after a too-long-wait. It's definitely hot when served, but the orders not being done as asked is huge! People have allergies/conditions, or pay more for a giant heart attack of a cheeseburger but only get a regular burger.. Best of luck Cook Out.
