Cowboy's Saloon — Restaurant in Lexington

Dark dingy dive bar large bar lots of locals, a few of them quite inebriated hoping they got a ride home as they stumbled out. Went for a date night and some bar bingo, worst bar bingo ever, we were there 2 hours and only got through half of the games and game winnings are small, average of $30 on a single person win. They play one game and then wait at least 5 minutes in between to do ticket sales, they say owner wants it this way thinking you will stay longer drunk and eat more, wrong, we just left at hand waY point. Food was not great, ordered chicken wing special for an appetizer, they forgot or missed the order after 30 minutes I asked where they were and they said they’ll be out soon and they made them on the fly. I also ordered the blt which used to be my favorite, 1 pound of soggy limp jalapeño bacon with one tomato and one leaf of leaf lettuce = yuck, came with tater tots and a bag tie in them. I will say if you go on burger night in the past they did have really good burgers and really reasonably priced hourly that has not changed. Sat at the bar one bartender friendly other looked like she wanted to chew your head off but beverage service was prompt. The patio is less then desirable and is basically for the nonstop of smokers coming in and out of the bar. Bar also got rid of the popcorn so we prefer to go across the street for drinks...

Me and my girlfriend have a coming not to only this salon.But other ones in the state, Everything was completely fine. But the different owners that only this building has definitely changed. Not really the best chefs that makes the food here. Sometimes a food can be juicy, amazing texture and soft But the last 5 to 10 weeks we've become here. The food has gone from a 4 star to a 1 star. I am a huge fan of lemonade and sometimes I mix it with the Sprite. But the lemonade is not well. So lemonaded, it is definitely carbonated. Today is definitely my last time coming here. For a few months because it's been going downhill with the flavor and the textures of the food. I've talked to one of the bar managers. And he told me there's nothing he can do with it. Because everything is homemade. Rather than that this place ISO k and fear. Just one and a quick bite and not to pick up a meal. I'm used to love for this place since 2023 But since I have write my review. Of a year.. this needs to get better.. The guy. Who works at the bar? I wouldn't even allow me to take my drink outside. Newly remodeled (tweaked in appearance) local bar. They removed posts and opened things up a lot.

The owner spent good money on a spanking new kitchen that is A1 wall to wall stainless steel. Honestly, whoever did the kitchen cared a lot because if your wife saw it she would either nag you to build one for her or be hard up to find a flaw-- and that bitj always finds something to complain about.

Cowboys has a very loyal and regular clientel. GENEROUS happy hour for rails and simple apps. I've never gone wrong with the steak bites. Other apps like the quesadillas have been robustly delicious and consistent.

The burger patties are pre-seasoned which is critical to flavor. The burger i had was one of the best I've had in a years, cooked well with the right pink in the middle and a soft fresh bun. Normally I'm adverse to ordering burgers from anywhere but these guys, specifically John the cook, was really good.
