First time at this taco spot—and definitely our last. We found it through Facebook and thought it might be a hidden gem. Unfortunately, it was far from it.
Service was terrible from the start. The cashier barely spoke English, was distracted on her phone while taking our order, and still managed to get it completely wrong. We ordered 4 asada, 2 barbacoa, 2 al pastor tacos, and a piña agua fresca.
There’s a self-serve drink station on the far right, but the ice bucket had bugs floating in the water—totally unsanitary.
It took around 30 minutes for our tacos to come out. Meanwhile, they were handing out the wrong orders to the wrong tables, which left everyone confused. When we told them there was a mix-up, no one came back to address it. After another 5–10 minutes, I had to go back up to the front. Instead of fixing the issue, the staff insisted we got the order wrong—without even confirming it with us properly.
As someone who works in customer service, I was shocked at the lack of accountability or effort to make things right.
Now for the food: bland, dry, and cold. Definitely not made to order, which is disappointing when it comes to tacos.
From our party of six, it’s a unanimous no. Would...
Read moreIn a place like Lexington where Mexican food trucks are a dime a dozen, El Sabor Oaxaqueno stands out as one of the best. My partner and I ordered the enchiladas verdes and quesabirria. It took around 15 minutes for our order to be prepared, but it came out hot and fresh as if every aspect of the meal was made fresh to order. The enchilladas verdes came 4 enchilladas and were stuffed full of shredded chicken and cheese, and were smothered in fresh made verdes sauce. The birria tacos were the biggest I have ever seen at any food truck or restaurant, both in physical size and the amount of meat in each taco. They were perfectly crispy and came with plenty of cilantro, onion, radishes, and consume on the side. This food truck is tucked away behind a gas station, so unless you're using directions to get there it is pretty hard to spot. If you're a lover of food trucks, this spot...
Read moreI come here ALL THE TIME & always tip at least $3-$5 for 3 steak tacos. That’s always what I order. Tonight I pulled up like I always do and have waited literally over an hour and it’s not busy at all. No one has come to take my order like they usually always do. They’ve walked right by my car at least 20 times and looked right at me only to ignore me. Terrible customer service and very rude. This is not the way a business should treat a regular customer whom might I add tips every single time 30 to 40% of the cost of my meal. They always come out to take my order while I sit in my car. I like the food but tonight was very disappointing to say the least. I will give them one more shot at my business to be fair because I know every business...
