My kid is picky and likes simple things. So he ordered the Tacos Vampiro which is steak tacos with cheese, cilantro, onions, and cabbage with a side of rice or beans. We asked for all the veggie parts to be put on the side (bc I wanted to eat them). The waitress just could get it. I had to explain 4 times while using my hands to cover up writing so she would understand what we were asking. Which was steak and cheese tacos on a corn shell (with all the other fixings on the side) the side of rice, and an additional side of black beans (which is extra and that’s fine). After explaining this over and over 4 times, I ordered the Enchiladas Suprema. Bc, my god, I didn’t want to go through those questions with my meal. After she left, she came back 4 MORE times asking for clarification. 🤯 🤦♂️ When she came back with the meals guess how his was? If you guessed his was completely wrong, you’re right! He got 3 tacos on crispy flour shells (like how do you even do that?) with a refried bean base, steak on top, cheese, and then all the fixings. All the fixings!! Which were supposed to be on the side! The refried bean base wasn’t even part of the order. How tf do you mess up steak and cheese tacos?? And then for the side they just brought bowl of black beans. No rice at all. My kid ate one and half tacos. Mainly bc he was super hungry.
Mine was typical fare; not great, not bad, very average.
If you want Mexican food, like good Mexican food, La Taquiza Taqueria, either location, is likely your best bet. I have still had issues with their service, but their food is leaps and bounds better than Mi pequeña hacienda. At this point it’s the only place I’ll go since the food is so much better. And I’ve had such problems trying out other places that despite some service issues, La Taquiza is still likely less of a headache...

I had no shoes on (went to garage, hopped in car and left, and it was raining. When I ordered online it asks if I want food brought to car, i said yes, and it asked for car model and color, put that in. When I parked I called, 3 times no answer, this was a Monday night by the way. 4th time, someone answered, i said i was here for carry out and man says "ok, you have to come inside" I said "NO, I have no shoes on, this is why i ordered carry out and online i said i wanted it brought to my car, and it always has been brought to my car" he said cashier is very busy, do i want to wait a while, I said NO i dont want to wait for my food to get cold, he then said he would ask the cashier if she could do it. about 5 minutes later, TWO girls game out with my order (one had both bags), and just stood there looking around lost (again, i was in the only spot for carryout orders, AND THEY ASKED FOR MY CAR INFORMATION to know which car to bring it to!?) I had to roll down window and yell to ask if that is my order, it was of course; THEN I get home and my receipt shows that I asked for my fish tacos to have corn tortillas, they were flour, and i ADDED avocado to my order, paid extra for it and there was none :( It had been a long stressful day, I was sick and this was 9:30 at night, I HAD NO ENERGY TO CALL AND COMPLAIN but definitely will make me think twice of doing this again, used to one of my favorite restaurants but their employees don't seem to know how to do a good job when they are "busy" which is often and unfortunate. I have took pics of receipt and my FLOUR not CORN tortillas, but isnt wanting to upload. oh well, very...
We wanted to love this location. So many people told us this is an amazing place to dine at. We had a event to attend nearby that was at a specific time, so lets see what all the hype is about.
When we show up we are taken through the cool AC part of the restaurant area and told to sit in the hot, open to the outside area. It was 93 degrees outside! We were asked, "How are we feeling today?" We responded that we were extremely hot, and would like to be moved to the cooler AC room or if they could close the doors that was letting all the heat in. (Or cold out)
She walks away only to come back a moment later with a man that opened all the bay doors. I guess we said the right words to get punished more. (Additionally, all the bay doors open allowed the restaurant to become a buffet to every fly near the restaurant.)
Then she asked us for our orders. We should have left then. But we were on a time crunch and had no more time to look for another place to eat before heading off for our plans. So we sat in the sweltering heat. Our beverages come, all 4 of them. Which is good because we are a party of 4. Then the food for 3 of us comes. The waitress apologizes and says the last dish is ready and she would be right back. I watch another waitress bring out the missing order to another table that had been seated after us. I know what just happened. I see our waitress running around avoiding us for about 7 minutes. 8 minutes later our missing food shows up. It looks barely put together. It doesn't taste very good and is soggy with oil.
We have to make the event so I pay, and reluctantly I tip her. (Because waitresses live off of tips, and I'm not a monster!)
I do not think I will ever come back. Our business...
