It's McDonalds, not much to say. You love it or you hate it. I tried the new bacon smokehouse burger a few days before this experience and wasn't thrilled with it, but I LOVED the "bacon onion sauce." So this time I go in and order a double quarter pounder plain, but asked to add this sauce. The manager rings me up for adding 3 strips of bacon at an additional $1.70. I pull to the window and tell the cashier she was mistaken, I didn't want to add bacon, I wanted to add the "bacon onion sauce." Now, I expected to pay extra for the sauce as I frequently add big Mac sauce to my sandwich for 30 cents, I anticipated a small charge. The woman starts to change the order then the very loud manager lady interjected, yelling at the drive thru attendant and me saying it's "bacon JAM not onion sauce" and that's how they ring it up. When I looked on the self service kiosk a few days prior, it was CLEARLY labeled "bacon onion sauce." And for the bacon smokehouse sandwich, adding extra was no charge, so I explained this to her and she was extremely rude the entire time and was going to end up charging me $8.89 for a double quarter pounder with only cheese and sauce. The double bacon smokehouse burger, already having said sauce is only $6.99 with all the other premium toppings on it, I pointed this out and she yelled something incoherent at me so I just drove away. This mcdonald's is a quarter mile from my home so I frequent it a lot. This is the first time I've seen this woman and I don't want to go back she was so terrible. I'm not going to make the 3 mile drive to the next closest one, so mcdonald's has lost a customer who's been with them since I was eating...
Read moreStarting this by saying I never go out of my way to leave a review. The service I received after a long shift at work was the absolute worst I’ve EVER received. I placed a mobile order late at night and accidentally requested to pick it up at the counter without realizing. I gave my counter number through the drive thru and the attitude I received was insane. I was trying to ask the location to make sure I put it in at the right location, not even realizing I had just rang it in wrong. He kept interrupting me and snapping at me. My partner was on the phone with me and heard everything. I was simply trying to figure it out and he just made me feel so guilty for my small mistake. I ask to pull up to the window to figure it out. He opens the window and is so rude with me, interrupted me when I was trying to apologize and ask if I should come to the counter instead. And instead he kept interrupting me and basically shunning anything I had to say. I left almost in tears by the unnecessary disrespect of a simple mistake. Oh and the worst part, i call the store to ask to speak to the manager and it was HIM. This is one of those situations where I wish you could be there to actually see it. This restaurant messes up my food almost every time I come through and I have always accommodated and waited and respected the staff because I also work in food industry and know we all make mistakes. But for a manager to come at me the one time I mess up my order at this store is crazy. The aggression. The arguing....
Read moreWe pulled up to the station where we we sat for about 25 minutes or so and heard, "just one moment, we're a little backed up" to which we replied, "no problem, take your time". There are two lanes and we were in the second of which (the right lane). After 20 minutes of waiting I noticed that three cars from the other lane had moved on after their orders had been taken. A split second later we were finally greeted with, "sorry about the wait". There wasn't a wait, they had simply forgotten about the second lane. No true admission of fault, no compensating statement... nothing. We chose not to order and to go elsewhere for a late night fix.
Edit: I'm adding on to this. I went there again a couple weeks ago and once again tonight... I went there earlier this month to get my chicken nugget fix.
They stated they were closed for the next 20 minutes. No reason given.
I tried again tonight, it was different this time. This time, I was told they were closed for 30 minutes.
I just ended up going to Cook Out, not too far away, they weren't closed for 20-30 minutes and I was in and out of the drive-thru in under 10 minutes. The food is good, cheaper, and I've not yet been told it's closed.
If you want to save 20 minutes, go to Cook Out. Especially for a late night fix.
I'm not affiliated with Cook Out in any way. It's just anything is better than this place to me at this point.
Cook Out was...
