Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Lexington

When we passed by the drive thru we could see inside and saw they were already stocked so we knew they were getting close to opening. We were outside of Five Guys on 12/17 when a worker came out and we asked about the opening day. He smiled and said “We are actually opening tomorrow” and we made a comment that we would definitely visit soon. We were waiting for the rest of our party and the employee (maybe owner) came back out and said that if we wanted we could come in for a smoothie. We said we were getting a burger next door, but we would be over after. After our meal, we did go over and got two smoothies. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, and both the smoothies were delicious! We looked over the menu and even though they are a “Smoothie” place they do have breakfast and lunch items as well. Their menu items also looked healthy and fresh.

This is the second time and the last time that I will ever spend a dime in this place I go to the Georgetown store four or five times a week and never have an issue The first time I came here I ordered two smoothies the same kind one with add on the other night they both tasted bland but exactly the same blend when I called back to the store the girl that answered the phone said hello not tropical smoothie and when I told her about my order she said sorry and didn't offer to do anything about it I was frustrated and mad at a $20 order not being right so I just hung up and sucked it up as a loss then today I gave them another shot and order through DoorDash and once again the smoothie tasted like nothing I am beyond let down by this place I know how good they could be but I will not go back to...

i ordered a wrap with plant based chicken and it was made with real chicken. i noticed as soon as i opened it and went back inside to have it remade. multiple employees very rudely told me they were not going to remake it and i had to pay for a new one. after 5 minutes of trying to explain what was wrong with my food and what needed to be fixed an employee stormed off to the back and remade the food and tossed it on the counter. i got to the car, unwrapped my sandwich and the plant based chicken inside was genuinely frozen solid… i feel like im on an episode of punk’d. absolutely insane interaction. i love tropical smoothie cafe but i will never be back to...
