Absolutely worst employees of any location. Every time. Completely either ignore or blatantly disrespect customers. Not sure if anyone actually works here. Orders take 20+ minutes from time they finally take them. Then sit until you flag down multiple people, then they're STILL WRONG. No management or supervision on site. Heavy set blonde is too lazy to even get out of a chair, much less hand another customer (whose order was wrong) the dip she requested. Just threw it on the counter and turned away. Wow. Zaxby's has NOTHING I want badly enough to deal with that. Everyone is in slow motion, from cooks to counter. Do y'all give them a shot of thorazine when they clock in??? I'm quite sure 4 stars are only because most people don't leave reviews. If that were the case, it would be -5.
I will say, in fairness, the location at 2320 Augusta Rd in Lexington is absolutely wonderful. Night and day difference. I will ALWAYS go out of my way to go here, because this location gets it right. EVERY TIME. KUDOS TO THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT AT AUGUSTA ROAD LOCATION! Edit/update: 6/22/23 Ordered online. Was charged, food apparently prepared way before I arrived. Nothing worse than cold soggy food. Shocking though, since this is the absolute worst location of any.. did not receive order. Finally refunded LESS than what I was charged. If Zaxby's depended on this location, they would definitely shut down. Witnessed many other customers have issues including racial bias, rudeness, many incorrect orders even after waiting 20+ minutes for lazy employees to decide to stop playing and socializing instead of serving. Upon inquiring as to why I wasn't refunded correct amount, got no response. Zaxby's has lost more business than mine. Current update: Zaxby's refunded order not received, yet still refunded less than they charged. Wow. Incompetence starts at the top. At this point it's not about a dollar or two,but the principal. Read moreThis Zaxbys is terrible. I placed an online order to pick up here but I had meant to place it at the Zaxbys location on Hwy 378. Once I figured this out, I spoke with Joy who works at the 378 location and she told me to contact this store and let them know what happened so they can cancel the order and I can replace it for the 378 location. When I called them, they were very rude and told me that I could either pick up my order which would be cold by the time I get there or accept 50% of my money back because my order was already ready. I asked if they would have to remake my food when i got there since it would be cold and she rudely said yes. So, either way they would have to throw the food away so it didn’t make sense that I couldn’t get a full refund. She then put her manager on the phone who was even ruder than the first person on the phone and basically told me I only have two options. I just asked for my 50% back and they hung up. Once I got off the phone with them, Joy from the Zaxbys on Hwy 378 asked me what happened and I told her. She said that shouldn’t have been told to me because a full refund is allowed. This was not the fault of the 378 Zaxbys location or the nasty attitude I received didn’t come from them but Joy still made an effort to fix the issue. Mind you, they were in the middle of a rush as this was happening. Joy turned around and spoke with the GM of the Hwy 378 store, Mercedes who said they couldn’t do anything about my money from my original order since it was at this terrible Zaxbys but they offered my same meal to me for free. Joy and Mercedes really care about their customers and even though they did nothing wrong and had nothing to do with the attitude of this location, they still did their best to make it right. The original cold food sat on the front counter instead of the pick up rack. I had to wait in the ordering line to get to my order. I asked for spicy zax sauce and honey mustard and received regular zax sauce and ranch. This happens all the time. They barely read my receipt about my full order beyond looking at just big zax snack and wings plate. I asked for their famous sweet tea and got home and the tea is unsweet. Very disappointed. The cashier kept leaving the register and going to the back as I had to keep getting her attention. I asked for the manager while I was there and she rolled her eyes through the window after the cashier asked for her to come to the front. I’m sure the cashier was new and kind of frazzled at the time because there were a good 5 people waiting a long time for their food. I get it. Friday night in Lexington.
No pass for the manager who needs to get off the line and make sure the rest of the service is running smooth instead of hiding in the back and making food. I was there on August 11th in the 7pm hour night shift. You (staff) shouldn’t ask me where did the short black girl cashier disappeared to with my receipt - somebody needs to be looking up to know. Thanks though to the 2 ladies who did help at the end and asked was I good because the manager went back to the back and didn’t ask me if I was good. I would have left a review on Zaxby’s website but the staff at the restaurant kept my receipt.
