MOD Pizza — Restaurant in South Carolina

I do feel like the amount of cheese was pretty skimpy specially counting that I asked for extra cheese. But I can say that it's like night and day from the Columbia location to this location. I wasn't even going to stop again after I walked out the Columbia location but I'm glad I did! I really want a cheesy bread with my Mediterranean bowl and I was disappointed with the fact that the Columbia location did not care about my allergy nor was considerate when I told them that I was allergic to wheat. I decided to stop into this location on my way out of South Carolina and I'm so glad that I did! Claire was very very considerate of my allergy. She changed her gloves right away without me saying and even though the counter was already clean when I walked in she ensured that she wiped it down again just in case. She even informed me that the pizza pan that she used was saf bye for me and have not been on or near any wheat filled pizza. She even said that they were careful with the oven. The cute young girl with the bandana and short teal ponytails was very polite when checking me out too. I'm glad that I did decide to stop after all. Anytime I come through here this will be the pizza place that I stop by. I will definitely never go to that Columbia place again I will make sure I drive here instead....

I've gone here a few times. Anytime I've eaten their food I've ordered online or called in, since I have a limited amount of time on my lunch break. Anytime they have been a few minutes late compared to the time they promised which I understand they get busy during lunch and never would hold it against them but today I go in to pick up my order after receiving an email confirmation and money being taken out of my bank account already just for them to tell me they never received my order. I was no offered a pizza free of charge or anything. I was told they could make my order while I was there. I have a job with a 30 minute lunch break I cannot stand around waiting for something I ordered 45 minutes in advance.

I've always enjoyed their pizza and I understand systems don't always work properly but I don't think they handled the situation as best they could. An email confirming they got my order and money should not have came out of my account if they never received the order and I should have been offered more than an "sorry we don't have anything for you, you can wait while we start making one now". I will not order from this location again.

I am NOT a fan of chain store pizza. Pizza parlors, pizzerias, and pizza delivery services all tend to disappoint me. Imagine my surprise when I walked in the first time, totally acquiescing to the kids plea for pizza and with low expectations which are rarely unjustified, I find that not only did I enjoy it, I even find myself being the one to slip it into the suggestions of where to go each weekend. (We eat out pretty much every Friday evening and during the colder weather or dog-days of Summer when it's too hot to grill, often on Saturdays too.) Mod allows us to craft our own salad, somewhat of a cross between a pretty decent salad bar and a cafeteria. Likewise with the pizza, one price, whatever you want to add, and both the salad and the pizza turns out great, every time. It's convenient for the twins who always want the opposite from each other.
