Cilantro Taco Grill - Elmwood Park — Restaurant in Leyden Township

The food was excellent — definitely 5 stars. However, the service was a major letdown. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place for the first time, passing many other restaurants on the way.

Unfortunately, the server's attitude was unacceptable. After initially brushing off her unwelcoming demeanor, the situation got worse when our food was served without napkins. When my girlfriend politely asked for some, the server responded by saying she needed to get up and get them herself. I stepped in to clarify if she was serious, and she confirmed it.

We ended up finishing our meal without napkins until my girlfriend eventually had to walk over and get them herself.

Again, the food was truly great — but if management wants to stay competitive, especially in a location surrounded by so many dining options, urgent customer service training is necessary. A good meal can be overshadowed by...

I tried this restaurant for the first time today. The girl working the register was so rude and ruined the experience. She was giving me dirty looks while I ordered so hard that my friends were confused. She brought out my friends food and not mine, she brought mine out 10 or so minutes later, cold. And forgot the chips and salsa, I asked for it and she tried to charge us again for it even though we already paid for it. I explained we paid for it with the original purchase. She was so incredibly rude and making us all uncomfortable. Everyone at my table thought my food was not brought out intentionally. STAY AWAY! front desk person got my order wrong. Didn’t realize it until I got home. I asked for a burrito - they literally put meat, cheese, and lettuce in a container. I went back. She then argued with me about what I order. Seriously? Then brings me a burrito. I then realized that she charged me for something different that was more expensive. When I asked her if I was charged more - she AGAIN argues and says i was given chips. What?!? I didn’t ask for that! I said okay, I’ll bring back chips too then. Got so frustrated that I just left. Terrible place
