Spizzico Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Omg, this place is a real GEM! They have so many pasta options, it was real hard for me to decide. I went with the Spinach Manicotti and let me tell you it was the most amazing-ly delicious pasta dish I have ever had! Oh and the sauce! The sauce was SO sooooo good!! The menu said it was a tomato cream sauce, literally heaven in a bowl! Wait, did i mention the sauce? Lol! My friend had the Gnocchi Alla Spizzico which has their pesto cream sauce; I had a taste and it was also very delicious, another great sauce! We couldn't decide which one was better, both so beautifully flavored!! The salad it comes with was so crisp! I couldn't finish my meal but I wanted to eat more, ---yup, it's that good! This was my first time eating here and I cant wait to go back and try more food items! Look no further, this is the place to eat at! You order at the register/pay and they run it to your table. I normally love the deep dish pizza from here…. It’s beyond amazing… but today was enough to probably make me not order from here anymore. I always use the Slice app to order and I know my order was received at 430 because the people from the app made a edit for me on my order by contacting the store. The delivery was scheduled for 745 which I know it’s not always gonna be on time… but then 815 rolls around and slice tries to contact them and there’s no answer. So they say give it 10-15 more mins… still no answer and then I tried calling a few times… no answers. After an hour of no communication I had to get my order cancelled because I had guests waiting and this was uncalled for. The tracker even showed the pizza was supposedly done. But no communication or anything… such a bad...

We tried this place on the whim and a little something to celebrate my sons end of school yr. The 2 behind the counter were super nice and welcoming (young girl and guy). Now the food... BLAND beyond words. I had the chicken parm diner.. marina sauce was awful/ meat sauce was just slightlybetter. A jar of RAOS or Ragu sauce and pasta would have been 10x better. The crust on the chicken was very over done almost burnt in spots. Came with minestrone soup.. there is rarely a soup I don't like, took 2 bites and again no real flavor and yuck. Ordered medium cheese pizza with double crust.. crust was good but the rest meh. My son had the buger said it was good and tasted kinda like portillos. 👍 Lastly my boyfriend Ordered the wings and the garlic spinach bread and both were pretty good.
