I've done hibachi at a lot of places. Hands down this was the best food and service ever!!! I'm coming in to edit because I did light the first time. We went at 630 on Vale tines Day. The place was jammed packed with people in line to pick up to go orders and people in line for the restaurant side a d then thr hibachi side. Then, people without reservations trying to do walk in with it already being packed WALL TO WALL !!! I will say this, they should've had someone by the door directing people on where to go. 🤣 But, I've been to high end steakhouses and restaurants and they would've sank with the crowd last night. So, we got seated at the hibachi and within 2 min they took our drink order. Drinks came out in less than 5 min. Then our food order was took, then out came the salads, then the soups. YES it was a little fast paced- due to they were booked solid with reservations. But, none the less the service was impeccable, the food is now my addiction, the prices are great and at the end of our meal the woman came out with all containers and bags for anything you had left over. I grew up in melose park so I'd go with my parents when I was little. I literally forgot about this hidden gem- now I'll never forget about it. I'm currently trying about 25 min away but I would travel here just for take out. ITS THAT GOOD ! Also, people are not aware that they do have the hibachi, they have sushi and they have Thai food. I will be going back here monthly going back and forth between the hibachi and the restaurant. Oh !!! They also have steaks so it's not your "typical" Cantonese or Chinese restaurant. Our waiting time was 2 hours , after that they don't have enough chef and they make us wait in the table 45 more minutes! Because they was short with chef , he came so tired that it was noticeable! We feel so bad for him this place make there employees overworked! The food wasn't taste the same the staff never came to our table to ask if we need anything, they barely came to pick up our empty plates ,clean the table or offer any drinks , when they came was so late the bar was ready close we didn't have the chance to order drinks we need to share the table with ghetto ass people they came drunk and missed behaving the restaurant should denied the entrance! That's how bad it was. As soon the chef finish cooking the staff show up in a rush to Make us packed our food and go?! when we was the last group of the night ! They don't to rush us, The bill came and they have the bad habit to add the tip to the bill , I usually leave tips in any restaurant or business I visit if the services is good and deserve tips but this time they didn't deserve $65! Tips 18%. Tips is according to the good services ,taste of the food etc. This is supposed to a nice family time and a gift from me to my family, and it was a very stressful experience I feel so embarrassing with them waiting so much for this terrifying experience.
