Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Leyden Township

I’ll start by saying I love Jersey Mike’s. To me it’s far superior than any of the other sub chains. This location however is lacking in every way imaginable. Every time I order from here there’s an issue. I keep going back because I love the subs and it’s the most convenient location for me, but at this point I’ll go elsewhere. I typically order on the app and every time the order 10-20 minutes late for pickup and over 30 minutes late for delivery. There’s usually 1 or 2 employees making sandwiches with absolutely no urgency regardless of how many customers are waiting. I’ve had my order made incorrectly more than once, receiving the wrong toppings or the wrong sub entirely. They’ve been unable to make certain subs because the grill is off or they’re out of items. Most recently I ordered delivery, the driver let me know that there was a long line and it would be a while, nothing new here. Ultimately the DoorDash driver didn’t want to wait anymore, left without the order and ended the delivery. While DoorDash didn’t handle it correctly, the store could’ve avoided any issue if they had employees who care to do their jobs efficiently. Idk who on earth is managing this location, I forgot to post a while back. The staff members are in physical danger. I saw what I thought was a manager on shift and one of his employees SLIDING as they STEPPED because they were not wearing kitchen shoes. I worked in many kitchens, and it is a giant hazard for that to be accepted. Food was good as always, took forever though even when I placed my order in advance( about 10-15 mins after when the order was supposed to be ready) Fairly messy too. Cross contamination is real people, don’t let your ingredients fall into another container. It’s just GROSS to see that, but also it’s not legally correct. Keeping rags on hand at all times to WIPE your surfaces down is a MUST for all kitchen workers. It’s not complicated, it’s just a procedure that needs to be implemented and followed through.

Deplorable looking working conditions. Unfortunate that their management doesn’t seem to care to enforce basic safety for their own employees, let alone their customers!!

If a health inspector popped in then, everyone would be in hot water.

Jersey Mike's has truly become my go-to spot for delicious subs! The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. They make you feel like a valued customer every time.

Not only is the staff amazing, but the cleanliness of the building is also top-notch. The tables are always tidy, and the floors are spotless. It's clear that they take pride in maintaining a clean environment for their customers.

And let's not forget about the food! Every sub I've tried has been fresh and made to perfection. The ingredients are high quality, and you can taste the difference. Whether you're in the mood for a classic Italian or something more unique like the Chipotle Cheesesteak, Jersey Mike's delivers every time.
