A touch pricey. The chicken tenders are more expensive than the burger which is already a bit pricey. In order of a cheeseburger, a 5 piece tender, and a small fry comes out to $16. If you add in Uber eats delivery that's an additional $10 approximately depending on how lazy you are that day. So for price I give it two and a half stars.

As far as quality of food - it's pretty good. Not too keen on the fries as they're the skinny fries. Only McDonald's can get away with those. The burger is good. My kids enjoy items from the rest of the menu.

When using delivery - that can vary from being super fast to being right on the estimated time.

We've never had an item missing from a delivery or a pickup. They also have never been one to mistake an order. For instance, my son and I are very picky. I only get a cheeseburger plain, usually asking for fresh meat (in order to avoid the leather patties that have been sitting on the grill for hours). My son is even pickier than I and just either the chicken tenders or a plain hamburger - no cheese no nothing.

I've had to return food to Wendy's and McDonald's and other locations countless times because we would get a loaded cheeseburger instead of what we asked for. However when I think about it,🤔- and granted we don't go to Sonic often - they have never screwed up an order once. No matter how odd or complicated - they've always gotten it right.

I've only ever used to drive through. So I cannot speak for the inside or - do they have those drive up points outside like from the '50s? Or am I confusing it with something else. 🤔 Anyway, we've never been inside or any place other the drive-thru, so that's all I can speak...

ONE STAR SERVICE FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE

9:45p.m. Hispanic Mexican short male on drive thru 4/17/2024 wearing blue ball cap red tee shirt. Short 5'2 in height short hair. Age late 40's or 50's. Weathered face. Poor countenence on his face. Behavior was deeply embarrassing. Already had attitude on the intercom then when given the wrong food. I asked why he had an attitude closes door cuts the conversation without receipt. I sit there to wait for my food (incorrect order with no recipt paid with my visa card) The proceeds to call police. After his hostille and cavalier arrogant attitude continued I then called the police as well I spent around $25 dollars or $30 dollars. After he wasted the police time with the foolishness they asked will he fix the order. He did not want to. He was acting scared worried and went frantic because a African American man 6'3 300 Ibs was questioning him to be professional and act right and provide better service. Even the police was laughing at that crazy behavior. Did not want to give any spoons or more utensils. Had an attitude about that.I explained to the police im in healthcare with people all the time with patients i get it. Its sad he acted with such prejudice and discrimination and hostility. He needs to stop being in the fast food industry.

I will call corporate as well after talking with the police with female officer and male officer recomended this after his extremely poor display of service in food service with a bad disposition about his life choices and being miserable because his life sucks. Its sad.But we all have choices with our life.

2024 UPDATE: Sonic introduced new fries, which they refer to as "Groovy Fries". What they are: thin cut crinkle cut fries that break apart during frying into little pieces. The longest "groovy" fry you'll ever receive will be 1 inch or 2 cm in length. While they look good in a photo, they're super greasy and not appetizing at all.

They have new smash burgers which are a take off of Steak and Shake style burgers, but the meat is paper thin per patty. They're loaded with grease, burnt to a char, and just nasty.

Prices have to escalated steadily over the past few years, especially on drinks and shakes.

They've added a soft pretzel side with cheese sauce to the menu, which is delicious. Swapping the cheese sauce for the Queso sauce is a great option as well.

Overall, I stick with the Garlic Burger, which is awesome.

From 2022: For variety, they rock. For flavor and consistency, though? Not so much. It all depends on who's working the shift. Sometimes your fries are a mushy, greasy mess, other times the fries are nice and crisp.

I love the corndog, the footlong coni dog, the breakfast burritos, and they can't be beat with variety of beverages and shakes... But the Sonic burgers are bland, greasy yet dry, flavorless meat. The chicken is your standard processed slab of compressed meat.

Overall, it's fine for a quick bite, but definitely not a go-to destination...
