I gave my first time to this restaurant, I never had Lebanese food before, but was worth it as I was real impressed with the quality it offered. The ingredients and the way the foods being prepared appeared to be quite healthy, a plus was they also tasted very good -- my Chicken Sambusek was excellent, not only on the food but also on how they used the pita pie bread to securely wrapped the very tasty/tender/juicy curried chicken, so that I could still see almost all the ingredients through the open-ended side but they were so well packed that none of them fell off the bread while I was holding it with my bare hand and finished the whole pita without getting any sauce dripped on my hand nor anywhere, genius! My wife's Favorite (beef katta) Combo was also good, except the beef was overcooked (even though she had asked for medium rare), its rice was excellent though, lots of mixed ingredients - probably the best rice I ever had. The service was very good, and what really impressed me was how patient its manager helped by explaining (to an alien liked me) what were the different choices of its menu items. Besides, the restaurant was clean and well decorated. The only reason I didn't gave it a 5-star was the overcooked beef.
My second visit also confirmed, stick with chicken (very tasty)...
Read moreLast night I took part in the $15 Valentines Day special that I had been receiving emails about for over a week (get an appetizer, any entree, and a dessert). When I went to pick up I was greeted by ~10 frustrated patrons waiting for their food and a full staff of overworked workers horribly unprepared for the marketing promotion put on by higher ups.
Over the next hour and a half of waiting I watched your staff masterfully juggle keeping the growing crowd calm, taking names to check on orders, and helping to cancel orders for those who (rightfully) didn't want to wait. All while hearing that this same issue was going on at several other locations around the area.
Whatever you're paying your staff isn't enough. Any proper restaurant that would put on a deal like this would limit the menu to specific dishes to help the kitchen staff make bulk orders to speed up the process. Opening this deal to the whole menu put unnecessary stress and work on your kitchen that bled over onto the rest of your staff.
The blatant disregard of your client facing staff with a promotion of this size is something I will remember for a while. I love the food and atmosphere your restaurants offer, but if this is the way you treat your staff I don't know that I can support a business like yours...
Read moreI phoned in an Oder of hummus and a small side of garlic sauce, an order that should take less then one minute to make and at most another minute to put in a Togo bag. I show up ten minutes after ordering, payed and then stood there waiting. After another ten minutes I asked about my order, and was told by the young girl working the register oh I think they’re bagging it up right now. Another 510 minutes go by and I walk back to the kitchen. The manager on duty who is working the expo station pull me up front and what do you know there was my order sitting there the entire time that I stood there waiting. The food is excellent. It’s just poor management. There’s a few things they could do to streamline the process, but it stuff to get restaurant under to listen to outside opinions, even from someone like me who’s been in the service industry since 1984.
As a footnote to this review, the management called me and apologized for the inconvenience and has graciously granted me a $30 gift certificate for my troubles. Hats off to Aladdin’s for being aware of issues with poor experiences and the willingness to correct the...
