Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Liberty

This is the second time I've eaten here hoping it was a one off when I ate here in May 2022. Nope. Not at all.

I Ordered a 3 meat combo with chicken, sliced brisket and pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans.

Ok, the chicken was dry but tasty. The sliced brisket was so dry I wouldn't have fed it to my dog. The pulled pork was dry, but not as dry as the chicken and brisket and tossed in bbq sauce I was able to eat ONE of the three meats I paid for.

The potato salad was straight up Sysco brand. I've worked in hospitality all my life and know when something is prepackaged or hone made. This was definitely Sysco brand or some other brand.

The baked beans, I assume from the taste, came out of a #10 can.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If I could take this back and get my money back, I would.

ALSO, via their website, I signed up to get messages on my phone, which I only did for the 20% discount. Once I did so, I was then informed that it only applies to orders of $55 and more. Tricky, tricky you people are.

Order real BBQ from a real BBQ joint not a chain. You'll be glad you did. I don't expect Dickey's to reach out. They seem to only respond to...

Do not bother with this drive thru. I waited 5 mins for someone to take my order. Pulled up behind a car that had been waiting for who knows how long. After 5 mins of sitting behind them, the worker come to the window and took their payment. After 10 mins I tried to leave, but was stuck because someone had pulled in behind me. After the car in front of me FINALLY got there food, now in line for 15 mins.....a drive thru, I pulled up and the worker did not even acknowledge me for another at least 5 mins. I left without any food I was so irritated. I had a crying baby in the backseat (he was great until we had been sitting still for so long) and was stuck in line at a drive thru. I don't know who designed these drive thru lines with no escape, but I can promise you it was not a parent. We use to like Dickeys but after this last experience we won't be back. If you want your food, from a drive thru, in a timely manner DO NOT come here. I understand that some places are short workers but when you don't even acknowledge the person sitting at your window thats not okay. If you don't have enough staff to cover the inside and drive thru just don't open...

If I could give 0 stars I would! We pulled into the parking lot and three employees that appeared to be very young, like teenagers or early 20's, were sitting in the back of the building in the lot smoking and talking. We go in to order and the first thing I noticed was dirty glass doors. Then we saw that those three were the only ones working. I used the restroom and it was disgusting, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while; dirty sink, dirty toilet, and big pieces of dirt or something on the floor. Then the soda machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while with dried soda on the bottom of the tray. The food wasn't even hot, and I really hope we don't end up getting food poisoning from it!! Most of the tables were dirty with food, from not being cleaned from prior customers. I was able to see into the kitchen from where the restroom is, and it looked very dirty too! I could maybe overlook these things if I hadn't seen the employees chilling out back while it looked this way, or if they were crazy busy. Neither of those were the case. It's no wonder it wasn't busy, if this is the way the place is run. I won't be back to...
