Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Liberty

Friendly fast service. Order was right on the money. The day shift is great at this location, however the night shift really needs someone there who knows what their doing and most definitely needs more staff!! Was there last week 3 times later in the evening and I could not order from a stall due to understaffing or as I was told anyways. The drive-thru was so backed up it took me 15 + mins before I could order. I was there about 15 minutes before closing time and was told to go thru the drive-thru and after waiting the 15 minutes when I pulled up to order I was told that they were closed!!! I arrived in plenty of time to order 3 route 44 drinks and an ice cream cone!! I tried to explain that I was there way before closing and was rudely told that they close at 10pm and they will not take orders after that! There were also 2 cars behind me that pulled up just minutes after I did. If there would of been enough employees working then I could of went to a stall and ordered without incident. Very unhappy with that situation!! Almost happened the last time I came later in the evening as well but I had 2 minuted to spare. If I waited on the line for over 15 minutes then I should of been able to be served!!! Please get more staff on the night shift and teach them some manners, they are...

We order from several Sonics around town because we live in the middle, not close to any. This was our first and last visit to this location. The others around KC northland, including the one north of this one in Liberty, are all great.

We ordered 6 drinks through the mobile app. 1 was entirely missing (so one child was understandably upset), 2 "with nerds" (an upcharge) had barely any (I saw zero when they are normally easily visible and abundant, but my kids said there was "like 5" - a big difference from the other locations), and the peanut butter bacon shake had zero pieces of bacon or bacon flavoring per my husband. Our order was more wrong than right! Unfortunately, I was alone at pickup so I didn't notice until getting all the way home and unloading groceries.

I would advise driving to any other location if you want to recieve what you actually request. Thankfully, there are plenty of other wonderful Sonics that are worth a little extra driving...

Went through late night for some dinner, ordered the 3 piece chicken strip box which is $7, comes with 3 strips onion rings tots gravy and toast. What I actually received was 2 strips, old toast, no gravy and no rings, and old tots. When I called back the employee that answered was rude and actually asked if I wanted to come all the way back for the 1 strip when they closed in 5 mins and I lived 15 away. When I finally got a manager on the phone Alicia said that they were out of gravy and onion rings (go figure), but the car hop neglected to say that to me when I ordered and she didn't seem to see the problem with that. She was very unapologetic, and it's not like I have extra cash to go back out and eat, so this was my meal last night 😪🙄 I've come to learn that fast good in nkc is usually pretty hit and miss, Sonic is now on my do not give my hard earned money to list.
