If I could I would give ZERO STARS because that's what they deserve. We had a large group of 22 adults and 20 kids. We called ahead to make sure they could take us and they said it wouldn't be an issue. We arrived at 8:30pm. There were a couple tables of people there when we arrived and one other large group of 10.
We had ONE waitress. There were other employees at the front chatting it up and playing on phones and also a few employees at the bar standing around. Our poor waitress was trying to accommodate our group all by herself. We had been there for an hour when we finally got our drinks.
We get it. Large group and she's alone but there were other employees not doing anything and she hasn't even taken our food order yet! We tried to be as helpful as we could by each group writing down our own orders, getting our own menus & napkins, etc. FINALLY the food starts to arrive. Other employees are helping her bring it out but no one knows who got what or even WHAT the food is!? What kind of calzone is this? I don't know. ok... What kind of pizza is this? I don't know.
There were orders missing and food that ended up getting delivered to the wrong people in our group - it was a complete disaster. None of the people involved in bringing the food out were apologetic. INSTEAD, one girl who was dressed in her full softball uniform said that she KNEW she brought out one of the large missing pizzas insinuating we were lying about it never coming out! When I was explaining I was also missing a pizza she turned her back to me, while I was talking, and walked away shaking her head
It's now 10:30. We just wanted to leave. Instead of taking off the food that didn't come out they made us wait until they made the food and we were expected to pay for it!!!! No one ever said sorry or offered to take anything off our bill - even the food that didn't come! We were literally held hostage waiting.
My husband went to talk to the manager and explain why we were upset with the horrible service... employees sitting around while we are all waiting and ONE person is doing all the work. The manager told him to MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS.
It was one of the worst dinning experiences I've ever had in my life. Staff was rude, argumentative, and disrespectful....
Read moreThe pizza was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Good number of flat screen tv's, especially if you're joining friends to watch the big game, and have some pizza and wings. Maybe the Coke won't be so watery when you go.
The overall look of the place is rundown. Looks like its heyday happened about 5-7 yrs ago. Outside appearance included unmowed grass, beer cans strewn about the grass and parking lot, industrial pod or dumpster in side parking lot, don't remember seeing an illuminated "Open" sign. Trashcans by the front door were full to over-flowing! Not a very welcome sight if you were trying to encourage new customers to stop in. Before you say they might have just been busy...there were three male staff doing next to nothing at the front counter, only about 6-10 patrons when we first arrived and one busy waitress. Other items of note....couldn't tell how long it had been since the table chairs had been wiped down. Grabbed mine to get seated and it had that grimy feel. Went to wash hands. On the way, noted a storage/janitor's closet was wide open to public view. Bathroom door was loose on its hinges. Bathroom faucet and sink needed to be disinfected and wiped down in mens room.
I didn't go looking for these discrepancies, they jumped right out at me when I first drove up. I also realize it is late Fall, that it's the day after Christmas, that nobody enjoys picking up trash or cleaning things. However, it's conditions like this that explain why maybe the parking lot is fairly empty on the day after the holiday (was between 11:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M.) when many folks are out and about taking back returns and looking for a late-December bargain. A good place to start addressing this matter might be to have two of the three individuals hanging around the front register go put on their coats and take two large trashbags outside and start picking up loose trash along with emptying the loaded trashcans by the front door.
Just reporting it like I saw it. Would be nice to see things tidier the next time I'm in town looking for some pizza. After all, the pizza was good and I would consider stopping again for that but not, if I drove by and the outside still looked like...
Read moreOrdered 3 large pizzas for lunch with co-workers today. Told it would be 20 minutes to have order ready. Arrived 21 minutes later, they went and checked on the pizza and said it was just going in the oven. Waited 25 more minutes. When they brought out the pies, they all appeared under cooked when I pointed this out was promised by hostess, who seemed offended and put off by the question, assured me they were done. One pie was not correct. When I pointed it out she again seemed annoyed and went to make another. Now about 35 minutes into lunch hour, she comes back immediately with another pie. Did she give me another one from a different incorrect order? Not sure . This one looked like it was square on one side and somewhat crushed. When I asked for peppers and parmeson cheese, I was given two small containers that seemed about a little more than a teaspoon each and no napkins, for three large pizzas. Perhaps it is very expensive. When I asked for napkins and enough condiments she again seemed annoyed. Perhaps the other 4 tables with customers were overwhelming the lunch time staff. When asked if I could speak to a manager was told he was busy. Finally get back to job site and you guessed it, under cooked pies. The dough in the center of all three pies could be stretched about an inch when pulled with thumb and fore finger. Do your self a favor and use North Oak and Barry Rd store. I have been using it over 25 years and have never been disappointed in pies or treated so poorly. Once when given a incorrect pie there they made a new one. Since I had to wait for a new pie they gave me the incorrect one at no charge. That stores pie crust are visibly darker and cheese is just starting to brown. Perfect pie. My advice is to drive a bit further and avoid Liberty location. You will be happier with the product and treated much better. I did leave my number for manager to call me. 7 hours later I still haven't received a call. Perhaps he is still busy. Most likely my message was thrown out or...
