1 star Very disappointing experience. I was ignored for at least five minutes after sitting at the bar before the short, pudgy waitress/cashier finally approached me and, with an attitude, asked if I wanted to order something. I politely ordered a beer and requested the clamato mix on the side. She immediately got upset and insisted I must have meant a michelada. I calmly clarified that I just wanted the mix on the side and also ordered a steak quesadilla.

Over 30 minutes passed, and I watched as others who arrived after me were greeted warmly, served quickly, and treated kindly — a sharp contrast to how I was handled. Eventually, I went to pay and explained that waiting this long was unacceptable. She claimed she didn’t know I had ordered food — even though she had asked me what I wanted on it and had brought three sauces to me.

When I pointed out how rude she had been from the moment I walked in, she bizarrely blamed it on my request for the clamato mix on the side. Then, instead of apologizing, she loudly and sarcastically said, “I’m sorry YOU’RE having a bad day,” and continued to berate me with that line all the way until I left.

Extremely unprofessional, rude, and unacceptable behavior. My drink wasn’t comped either — she made it a point to emphasize that. Save your money and go somewhere that respects all...

A Must-Visit Mexican Restaurante: La Mera Mera

If you're looking for an unforgettable Mexican dining experience, La Mera Mera absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, genuine hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly blends traditional charm with modern flair.

The quesa-birria is the undisputed star of the menu—rich, cheesy, and packed with flavor, each bite melts in your mouth and is perfectly complemented by the savory consommé for dipping. It’s the kind of dish you’ll dream about long after the meal is over.

Save room for dessert, because the flan de la casa is a masterpiece. Silky, perfectly caramelized, and just the right amount of sweetness—it’s a classic done right, and then some.

And you simply must try the margaritas. Whether you go for classic lime or one of their creative house infusions, they’re perfectly balanced and refreshingly strong—ideal for pairing with your meal or enjoying on their own.

The service is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. The staff clearly takes pride in what they do, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

With its outstanding food, and welcoming ambiance, La Mera Mera isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Highly...

I ordered my burrito online and went to pick it up within less than fifteen minutes of ordering it. I drive back to work to eat my burrito, as I open the burrito it is cold to the touch. I called the store to see if this is how they serve their burritos and the person on the phone said no it's supposed to be hot. The only thing that she was able to do was offer me offer me store credit vs a refund. I told her this was my first time coming to this place. Because my co-workers told me that this was a good place for burritos, as I am not from this area.I am from chicago and I am used to hot burritos. I unfortunately told her I will not be coming back.So a credit will not be necessary. Just lost out on some money. Smh if I was the cook, I would be ashamed to serve this to anyone. Please to the owners make sure your cook is paid well. Update the flan taste like paste, no flavor. FOR SURE NEVER COMING BACK. Stay away , if u want real Mexican food go to chicago (little...

La Mera Mera left me with a mixed impression. While the experience was not extraordinary, it wasnt horrible either. The food, while okay, didn't really stand out in a city with a plethora of Mexican restaurants. The flavors were decent, but lacking that wow factor. The service, too, was simply okay – not notably friendly or attentive, but not outright neglectful either. The ambiance at La Mera Mera was pleasant, with a typical Mexican restaurant decor. The prices were a bit high for Mexican ($94 for family of 4), making it a bit pricy for a casual meal. Overall, La Mera Mera is a run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant that offers average food and service. While it may not be the first choice for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience, it could be a decent option if you're just looking for a quick and straightforward meal.

We have been there twice now and both times were consistent. The food was delicious and presented well. The women working there are warm and friendly and so kind . The ambiance is thoughtfully curated. It’s modern with a cozy vibe. We love to support local and this place is a gem. They also have the good wooden sturdy high chairs and are so friendly to kids. No one was bothered while I ate standing and following around our kid who finished first and wanted to explore. THANKYOU for having a friendly family space. Your food is tremendous! Yes the beans and rice are flavorful! The meat has no storage rubbery pieces because it’s all been trimmed very well. The margarita is made fresh with hand squeezed lime . None of that thick overly sugary or overly sour premixed nonsense.
