I was working in the area and decided to order take out here. I called and a woman responded. I had seen their menu online so I had decided to order Pad Thai. She said they did not have that. So I ordered their Hunan Beef lunch dish. When I picked it up she asked me about the Popeyes, I told her I was saying Pad Thai, she then was able to understand and said indeed they have it. None of this mattered or contributed to my opinion. What followed was sad. I paid $12.97. In my work van I decided to eat my fried roll on the way back to my job site first. A disappointing grease burrito. When I arrived on site. I opened my dish. Smallest portion of "fried rice" and smallest portion of meal I have EVER seen. I'm not exaggerating, I'm doing this to review only to help others. The rice was bland and not fried, it was white rice with a bit of soy sauce maybe. The Hunan beef was over salty and very unappetizing. Sorry very sweet lady that tended to me but please stay away...
Read moreI have nothing bad to say about Hunan Palace. The owner at the counter was very friendly and engaging. She focused a lot of attention on us, maybe because they are recently open for business and not a lot of traffic inside yet. She let us come in before the restaurant was actually open! That in itself is very appreciated. My sesame chicken was delicious, my egg roll hit the spot. My hot and sour soup was very tasty. My wife's sweet and sour shrimp was very good, her crab rangoon done the way she likes it. They brought the sauces to the table, her glass of merlot was chilled and tasty. My Japanese beer was wonderful, also my pepsi, and the water was cold, lol! She even brought lemon for my wife's water! All I can say, it was a wonderful dining experience, we were not rushed, and the decor inside was very interesting to look at. We actually have a lot of the same decorations in our home! So we felt very comfortable dining, and comfortable talking about those things...
Read moreWe were in the area for a craft class and decided to stop here because it was convenient. We came in a little after noon on a Saturday. The atmosphere was nice, the service prompt. We had our soup within ten minutes of sitting down, and our entrees arrived just as we finished the soup. I had Mongolian beef, fried rice, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoon. My friend ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup, and an egg roll. The food was good, more authentic Chinese than you usually see in a strip mall restaurant, and the portions were generous. We both took leftovers home. I would definitely...
