I was so excited about the prices… until it became the most disgusting grocery experience of my life. The produce section had a gnat infestation and all of the produce was rotten anyway, which meant I couldn’t buy anything that I needed there. I bought two packs of American cheese, got home, opened a pack, saw that the slices weren’t individually wrapped which I thought was weird but whatever, maybe they’re saving money on the plastic… nope. Ate through most of the pack and discovered a dead fly sandwiched between two slices of cheese. Threw it out and opened the new pack, only to discover that these slices WERE individually wrapped and, fingers cross, do not come with flies. Most of the canned goods and bottled drinks were very dusty. And to top it all off, as I’m struggling to get the last two items out of my cart at checkout (I’m a short woman), the cashier screamed at me like I had just killed his dog that he needed my cart… even though I clearly still had items to put on the belt, and also, as it was my first time at Aldi, I didn’t realize that they didn’t have a little table to put your groceries on after scanning them. But either way, I don’t appreciate being screamed at. There’s a better way to inform a customer of something.
Horrible experience. I will never shop here or at any...
Read moreThis store is always missing half the items on my list, specifically all of Aldi’s heavily advertised dairy free and vegan items. This store used to have some but it’s been 6 months of less and less vegan products, despite Aldis advertising an increase in these products. Today, not only was i missing any type of vegan cheese and the chickpea rotini, but also CANNED CHICKPEAS and BROCCOLI. When I finally made my way through the crowd to check out with the rest of my groceries, I see they have NO BAGS. This is the second time this has happened to me here. I already spent 45 minutes navigating the sea of people to collect my groceries and didn’t have time to go elsewhere. So here I am trying to figure out how I’ll lug $45 worth of groceries to my second floor apartment. Lastly, after scanning my first product at the self checkout (only option), it said I needed to wait for an attendant. I waited 10 minutes and saw not a single employee so I went to another machine. This store is not equipped and should not be able to be open without being able to keep bags and employees...
Read moreAldi has arrived and it was well worth the wait. This new location is very modern, well lit and fully stocked. The aisles are organized and items are well presented and everything, absolutely everything, is fresh and clearly priced. There are several miscellaneous brands on the shelves that are akin to many of the more familiar brands that we all have come to know (you will immediately recognize the nod to the name brand). Prices are significantly cheaper than other competitors in the area, including sister store, Trader Joe's. There is absolutely nothing compromised at Aldi, as is often found when a stores pricing structure is significantly lower. Aldi's offers it all, from fresh produce, to deli, fresh meats, baked goods, IQF, dairy, liquor, canned and packaged goods. Aldi's will surely be a fast favorite grocer for many. Stop in and expect to be wowed by quality, freshness, abundance all at...
