Edited after Owner comment - Interesting because I am absolutely not politically correct myself, but I expect a restaurant to oblige food allergies and cater to patrons. Nice to see a restaurant owner owing up to problems, or the "customer is always right" mantra. (Insert sarcasm). Oh that's funny too, I didn't hear any clapping, because NOBODY was eating there! :-) Good luck.
This was the most appalling, experience my family and I have ever had, and we didn't even stay to eat dinner! I wish I could rate it a -5. I grew up around the area and now reside in NC. My family and I spent the day at Idlewild and decided to find a place to eat dinner on the way home. First off, the parking situation is awful, second, it says cash ONLY, and this ALWAYS turns me off, as 1, you need to get with this century, 2nd, it means you're disgustingly cheap and do not want to pay the credit card fees. Third, it was so hot inside, the fans weren't even on, and my father was sweating profusely. NEXT and WORST of all.... I took a look at the back of the menu and noticed Fat Daddy's "RULES".... containing things like this... "we make the food we make, do NOT ask for substitutions. - IF we do substitute something for you, we can charge you whatever we damn well please!" - We don't serve complainers, etc. Etc. EXCUSE ME!.??? THE most pathetic place they'd like to call a restaurant I have EVER set foot in. We eat in restaurants all over the country, and this is 2018 with millions of people having serious food allergies, as well as smart people like me who choose to eat a clean, healthy diet, making many substitutions whenever necessary. You as a restaurant should be HONORED that customers are patronizing your crappy establishment in the first place and treat them with the utmost respect - NOT treating them like dirt and expecting people to come! You will be out of business within a few years.... keep up the crappy service and "RULES" - good...
Read moreAte at Fat Daddy’s place with me and my friends and the food was good. However, the experience with our waitress was not pleasant. As a party of 6, she did not want to split the checks so we all had to pay on 1, which is odd since many restaurants do this quite often. I would ask her questions like “what was popular” and she would simply repeat back the menu and sarcastically ask if I didn't hear her the first time. At the end of the meal, she sarcastically stated to "not forget the 20% tip" like we didn't know how to tip, let alone tip the 1 bill she refused to split among the 6 of us. And to top it off, since we had to count the money in bills for the 6 of us and each pitch in for what we paid for, it took awhile to count, and the waitress kept returning and even stated "surely you guys must be done counting now" in a rather passive aggressive and impatient manner. Perhaps she didn’t mean to come off as passive aggressive or I may have overanalyzed the situations, but there were simply too many of those situations to not feel negative and passive aggressive. Overall, the food was good but the waitress acted like we were dumb kids who didn't deserve a...
Read moreCame here for dinner with husband and two kids. Had a buffalo chicken salad, which was amazing! Kids had chicken and fries which they LOVED and ate every bite of. Husband had a Cuban and fries which he also loved! Waitress was laid back, personable, and super on top of things. Right off of a busy road, but do not let the location deter you. When we pulled up, we thought there would be a huge wait due to all of the cars parked there, but didn't realize there is a bar side and a restaurant side. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in an were able to be sit down and order straight away. Only waited about 10 minutes for our appetizer and about 10 more for our food to come. The fried green beans and fried pickles app was delicious too and the Wasabi ranch it came with was our favorite part of the whole meal. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Definitely would come back here if we come back to the area and would recommend to anyone traveling to this area...
