Well not really sure where to start! We decided to take a trip my husband and I to Lincoln City during the busy time of spring break our last day there we decided to go to little sambo's for brunch it was extremely busy which didn't surprise me cuz it was one of the only actual restaurants in Lincoln City that did breakfast lunch dinner see food and apparently had an Italian menu as well... We where seated about 45 minutes after we got there due to a long reservation list. We receded in a small two person table up against a wall that was placed between two racks one holding multiple glass coffee mugs with people's names on them and the other holding stuffed animals we were unable to actually pull out our chairs or put our coats on the back of the chairs due to the lack of space. 35 minutes later our waitress came to us and asked us what we would like to order I ordered the crab cakes eggs benedict and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy. Our food arrived 30 minutes later . On first inspection of my eggs benedict I realized that my Hollandaise sauce had separated I tasted it and realized it was also extremely cold as were my hash browns.. my husband decided to try his meal and realized that the biscuits were not even homemade they were some kind of store-bought doughy biscuit that wasn't quite cooked sorry baked properly. After having this happen my husband had decided that neither one of us were going to eat our food we left it at the table and decided because we were there we would go to the gift shop we walked around the gift shop picked out several mugs and a cute stuffed animal for our daughter when checking out we were talked to very rudely by an elderly old woman and then given the excuse by the other woman standing next to her that she likes things a particular way while I replied with we are the customer don't you believe that we should get what we're paying for or what we would want? Her only response was a glance up as she handed us her money while they were still arguing about how to give us our money. The elderly woman started a confrontation with the woman who had stepped in to help about how she didn't count back our money and you can't just do that we swiftly walked away and allowed them to continue their argument on their own. All in all I can say this is not a very organized or very well done restaurant they're more concerned about getting people in and out than they are about the quality of their food or their customer service sorry to have to say it but that is a fail as far as a restaurant goes by the ocean I would not recommend it no matter how many people decided to give it five stars three stars or more even Denny's can serve better food than them. And on a side note the crab came out of a can and is probably Frozen it was not fresh you could smell it off the plate immediately as it was placed on...
Read moreDONT METH WITH THIS PLACE! Went in on a Sunday at about noon. Sat and waited at the bar area in the center of the restaurant, for about 5 minutes before we laid eyes on a server. The woman who came out was reasonably competent; but frantic and out of sorts. But still had to wait for a very long time to even put in an order. Then a man in a shirt and tie (I assume the manager) came out with a Reuben and set it down at the end place of the bar. He then looked around wildly and began pacing the restaurant and frantically straightening things. Then he started slamming stacks of cups down behind the counter. Then he shoved the ice tea machine from the top, expecting the bottom to move over accordingly; it did not.
Then our food arrived. I got a chicken fried steak. And my friend got something with hash browns. He asked for his hashbrowns to he extra crispy. What he got was essentially if someone had granted a potato directly over a deep fryer. Basically a plate of very tiny French frys. Mine were alright but a little underdone. And I have to say the chicken fried steak was very good, as were the eggs.
I should mention we could hear the cook yelling about the extra done hash browns before they came out. So when the waitress set it down and asked if he wanted to send it back; we were more concerned about it getting spit in. So my friend let it go
Through all this the manager still hasn't even touched his Reuben. But that's not super surprising. I've heard that meth kills your appetite. The manager and the waitress were so clearly on speed, my friend and I were whispering about it the whole time and trying not to laugh. We did enjoying talking smack about those dope fiends; but the service still sucked.
I think we surprised them right as they were getting high in the back with the cook(who if I had to bet, I'd guess was recently out of the jail). It makes sense. We were the only ones in there at a very slow time of day. I bet if you catch them after they get past the jagged edges of the biker speed they took, they're service wouldn't have sucked so badly. All in all, we had a fun show to watch while we ate some okay...
Read moreNot a good place to go an hour before closing. On Father's day (6/18/17) my husband and I when to this restaurant. We got there at 8 pm. An hr before they closed. We had just sat down n hadn't looked at our menu yet. When the waitress came and asked if we knew what we wanted. My husband was still strapping our son to the high chair. We let her know we need just a second. The waitress then explain to us that the cooks need to go home at 9pm and that they are temperamental. they will get upset if they have to stay over.the funny part about it is we still had one hour before they close.my thought was if we make them mad I didn't want them to do anything bad to our food. my husband thought was we just better leave.the waitress then said "it's probably for the best you probably want to sit down and relax for a little while". we came in there in time to be able to eat and leave before 9 pm. but because she went ahead and told us it's best for us to leave.we left, as I'm walking out I notice there's only one family eating dinner and they we're already served and halfway through their meal. it was then hard to find a restaurant in Lincoln City that will give us enough time to have dinner and go home.thankfully we found a restaurant in Newport. they were extremely busy but treated us like they weren't. I've never been talked to out of eating at a restaurant before and because of this I will never return to this restaurant again. my suggestion is that management needs to speak to their staff and let them know that it's unprofessional to speak L about their co-workers regardless of their cooks or waitresses.very...
