First off everything comes in takeout containers even though they allow dining in-house. We ordered Tom Yum Goong and chicken satay.
They gave us the soup in a plastic container and paper bowls and plastic spoons. We then had to dump the soup into our bowls, which inevitably made a mess. Then the soup was lava hot and I burnt the roof of my mouth with a molten tomato. The shrimp were tasteless. The soup flavors overall were meh. A few tomato, mushroom and onion slices. The paper bowls then fell apart and my partner had soup drip all over his pants under the table.
The chicken satay was tough and chewy with a bland flavor. The peanut sauce wasn't good either. Despite the recommendation of the lady working the counter.
About 15 minutes after we left my stomach began gurgling. Made me never want to go out again. I love Thai food, and cook a lot at home. This was bad all around. Instead of ordering entrees we left. I made the mistake of trusting the high rating. It was our first time there and it will...
Read moreAtmosphere was good but place was pretty small. The waitress was wonderful and Iv heard really great things about this place. Sadly when it came down to the taste of the food I was not impressed. Presentation of the food was Beautiful. I ordered there egg roll which was good. The crab wontons we’re nothing special and the sweet and sour sauce was very very sweet. The chicken satay was probably one of the more favorite things I ordered mostly due to the peanut sauce however I still prefer jasmin thi chicken satay. The pineapple fried rice was alright and so was there curry powdered noodles but aging it’s nothing that I can’t live without and I’d rather spend my money at jasmin thi which has better prices and food. Overall we spent $54 at thi bay. We usally order an apatiser, two antrees and a dessert at jasmins for only $40. At the end of our meal we got a very nice Chocolate mint and that was probably the best tasting...
Read moreThis place is awesome! We've tried all the thai places from Florence, up through Newport, in Depoe Bay and all the places in Lincoln City and this place tops them all. I have ZERO idea why all the other places food is SO SWEET. UGH. Never in my life have I had so much Thai food be sweet. Gross. We got there in the nick of time as a crowd came in after us so the place was packed. It did take a hot minute to get our food ordered (poor girl was in the weeds all by herself) but once the food was ordered, it came out rather quickly. I don't think anyone in our party talked for 20 minutes because we were so busy stuffing our faces with the deliciousness. We normally order a bunch and share and end up taking half of it home. Not this time. It was so good we just couldn't stop eating. Prices were reasonable and the portions were good for the lunch menu. We will be back for sure. Keep it up guys...
