First off let me say that I am not normally a Karen, but this has happened too many times for me to continue to ignore. This White Castle (in the very early morning) is awesome most of the time. The staff is usually pretty friendly and the food is almost always delicious and fresh and they always get the order right. However, they decide they want to play games about having to change out the register drawer around 6 in the morning which is when a lot of us are stopping there on our way to or from work. They will always make you wait at the speaker for a few minutes before they finally come back and tell you that they're only accepting card. First of all, if you're going to do this, you should at least let people know as soon as they pull up to the speaker instead of making them wait for 4-5 minutes and then finally telling them that they can't use cash. Also, I have worked at many MANY restaurants but I've never seen one do this. Sometimes I will get there at 5:30 a.m. and they will tell me that they are only accepting card because they have to change out the register drawer and I will ask them how long until they are done and they will tell me something like until 6:10. It does not take that long by far to change out a register drawer! I know this from experience. Other times you will come there and it will be 5:55 and they will tell you the same thing but it will only take a few minutes and they will be good to go again. For those of us who don't like to use a credit card and would prefer to use cash in order to not compromise our identity for no reason at fast food restaurants, this is incredibly frustrating! It wouldn't be so bad if it was during the middle of the day when there are other things open but when they do this they are literally the only thing besides McDonald's that is open. Even other white castles are closed. It just makes for a bad experience all around when we go out of our way to come here because it's the only thing open and then you guys tell us we can't even get food for 45 minutes unless we pay with a credit card... it's truly unacceptable and I hope someone does something about it. I don't mind waiting for a few minutes and I'm always pleasant to deal with when I come through the drive-thru but 45 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time for you to tell someone they can't order food from somewhere that's supposed to be open 24 hours.

I would however like to add that I do appreciate the employees that work there and I know that they work hard. Thank you for at least being here for us day in...

Visited #WhiteCastle for the first time. Founded in 1921 as the first fast food hamburger chain in the world. Harold and Kumar also brought recognition to this chain. Of course I had to finally experience it when I had a chance in Detroit. This location was very quick, clean, and patient with our virgin visit. My husband and I decided to share a 10 sack of #Sliders #TheOriginalSlider for my husband since he doesn’t like cheese on his burgers. The sliders are made with 100% beef, steam grilled on a bed of onions and served with a slice of pickle on their signature bun. He of course gave me the pickle which I appreciated. I went with the #CheeseSlider which is like the The Original Slider made with 100% beef, steam grilled on a bed of onions but topped with a slice of American cheese. We both enjoyed the sliders, loved the grilled onions, and it was nice to taste history. With our sliders we enjoyed #FrenchFries Classic crinkle cut fries, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. For Beverage we enjoyed using their freestyle fountain drinks to get ginger ale and red cream soda. Of course I had to get creative with the packaging the sliders came in and create a fun sculpture. Orange box for the cheese sliders, blue box for the Original Sliders. All in all a wonderful end to the day at the iconic...

On my visit tonight 3/23/22 update... I think the young man on drive through cash Team member#1195 needs to pay attention to what the customer is asking for he told me a different total when I got to the window and I had exact change in my hand ready so I asked for zesty zing sauce if I had known that they didn't have any and it's not available anymore I would not have ordered onion chips. So I asked the manager to upgrade my drink size and she happily did because I heard her laughing with her employees and they were laughing with her so I assumed that they were just happy to be at work unless they were talking about me complaining nah couldn't be that they might need me to call customer relations so they can have a refresher course in customer service but other than that my review is fair they're doing the best they can I guess.

I live 3 blocks away I try not to go everyday EXPECT TO WAIT & then.... WAIT SOME MORE LOL Only the locals know...

We stopped at this White Castle for a quick bite while out for the evening and decided to try the Impossible sliders. Honestly, the best part was the bun, lettuce, and tomato—the patty itself was extremely mushy with zero texture. It’s totally possible to cook a vegan burger well, so I’m not sure if they knew how to prepare it right. That said, I placed our order online, and service was fast! Our onion chips were hot, crispy, and absolutely delicious—way better than the fries, which were sadly bland. Definitely recommend the onion chips over the Impossible burger.

Oh my White Castle, I thought we had a deal? I will never say your name in vain, you just had to be predictable. Consistently really good but some eh. But tonight it appears as if you served my daughter used onion chips. GROSS. Seriously looked partiality digested. Also. Nibblers, ugh very dry, I could only eat 2 max. I did find an extra PLAIN cheeseburger in my bag. Next to the other PLAIN items. Cheesie warmish pickle. I love you White Castle and I will be back. Probably this weekend.I just needed you to know that things were noticed! 🤗 I forgive you.
